Stayed for a night with my wife. Room was great value, breakfast was included which was possibly the best full English I've ever had. Lunch menu was excellent, and of course lovely beers. Atmosphere was relaxed and very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone.

Pleasant, friendly helpful staff. Very clean relaxing atmosphere ideal for the town centre. Food very good and reasonably priced. Beer brewed on premises good range and price. Well worth the visit although parking can be quite tricky .

Having recently stayed at the Old Cannon I cannot rate the staff highly enough. They were very accommodating and helpful in making our stay a great experience. With a 3 month old baby with us the staff were helpful in moving my daughters room to be near us as the grandparents. They were happy to help with sterilising the bottles when needed. Housekeeping worked on longer to prepare our rooms. Nothing was too much trouble. Having stayed in various hotels in Bury St Edmunds previously when visiting family, we can say this was our best experience by far!

What a lovely place. Delightful staff, extremely comfortable rooms, well maintained and popular. My mate and I stopped here for 2 nights as part of our annual WOTL (weekend on the Lash) and found it to be a super choice. Just far enough from the town centre to be quiet but close enough to easily walk to. Only challenge is parking but that seems to be a consistent theme nowadays and no fault of the venue. If you plan on a short stay in Bury St Edmunds you could do a LOT worse.

The Old Cannon Brewery in Bury St Edmunds is a must-visit for cider enthusiasts. The cider on draft was truly delightful, offering a refreshing and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the food at the Old Cannon Brewery was well presented and truly mouthwatering. The combination of great presentation and tasty flavors made the dining experience even more memorable. Whether you're a fan of cider or simply looking for a tasty meal, the Old Cannon Brewery is sure to please. I highly recommend trying their cider on draft and savoring the delicious food they have to offer."

We didn't stay here, but the pub is a fantastic welcoming place. 10 hungry walkers arrived just after the kitchen had closed, but someone who knew how to use the chip pan rustled up platters of superb thick cut chips to pair with our local beers and great cider. Plenty of room inside, but also a large tented courtyard where dogs are welcomed. A proper pub in the inn tradition.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Old Cannon Brewery, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt like we'd stumbled upon a hidden gem of warmth and hospitality. Accommodation: Our room was a delightful blend of history and comfort. It was immaculately clean, and the rustic decor transported us to another time. We couldn't help but appreciate the attention to detail that made our stay feel truly special. The comfortable bed ensured we woke up refreshed and ready for each day's adventures. Restaurant: The Old Cannon Brewery's restaurant was a culinary revelation. With a dedication to sourcing local ingredients, the menu was a tantalizing journey through flavors, catering to all tastes. Food: Each dish we had the pleasure of savoring was a symphony of flavors, a true testament to the culinary expertise in the kitchen. We must give a special shoutout to the chef for the exquisite presentation, turning every plate into a work of art. The brewery's own beers were a revelation, and we particularly enjoyed the helpful beer tastings that allowed us to experience the diverse range of beers they craft right there in the pub. Meeting Locals and Travelers: One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to meet both fellow travelers and friendly locals. It gave us a sense of the vibrant community that frequents this establishment. We were even treated to a quick tour of the beer-making process, which was both educational and fun. Exceptional Staff: Every employee we encountered was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. They weren't just staff; they felt like friends, eager to enhance our experience in any way they could. Atmosphere: The ambiance of the Old Cannon Brewery was inviting, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. It wasn't a rowdy party pub but rather a tranquil destination where we could enjoy each other's company and engage in pleasant conversations with new friends. Convenient Location: Another noteworthy feature of this charming establishment is its convenient location. It's just a short walk to the old town shopping area and a mere 8-minute stroll to the train station, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Conclusion: Our stay at the Old Cannon Brewery and Restaurant was not just a visit; it was an enchanting journey into history, culinary artistry, and genuine hospitality. We're already looking forward to our next visit, eager to create more cherished memories at this remarkable establishment. Thank you, Old Cannon Brewery, for a truly unforgettable experience that will remain etched in our hearts.

Lovely dog friendly pub. The brewing equipment was very interesting to look at. The girl behind that bar seemed a little uninterested but otherwise all good. We had the lunch menu but the portions were really big. The chicken wrap was especially good
