Lovely pub. Mate a mate for a pint and subsequently some chips and snacks. Lovely pub and atmosphere. Staff were great!

Took my aunt for Sunday lunch for her 83rd birthday. Lovely place, it has an old time but airy feel. They don't try pack in too many tables, as some places do, so gives a very relaxed and comfortable feeling.
The staff were very friendly but seemed a little run off their feet. Food was good, everyone liked what they got, kids loved their food too, (not always a given).
All in all, it was a very nice afternoon, we will return.

Excellent Sunday roast. Came here for Dads birthday lunch and had a lovely time. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. Good menu choices and quick service in a relaxed and traditional setting. Ample parking and outdoor seating. Popular with walkers and dog friendly. Will definitely be back again

I turned up on a weekday evening without having booked but food was still being served. The girls behind the bar were lovely, service with a friendly smile and attitude. The beer was great and the sticky toffee pudding is a must have! Sat in the garden and overall a lovely vibe

Good food and service great. I had king prawn and chorizo tagliatelle- this did not disappoint.very tasty .My friend had ham, eggs and chips. A very generous portion of ham and perfectly cooked eggs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent in fact the best I have had in the last 5 years. There is a good variety of drinks all at great prices. My friends and family will definitely be back very soon. Andy

Had a fab lunch! The dining area inside is lovely, great atmosphere. The staff were all super attentive and friendly. The food & drinks were served quickly, food was great - love that there is a little lunch menu with the option of light bites. The 3 of us actually sat for ages chatting after our meal (oops!) BUT no one made us feel pressured to leave or tried to rush us out. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side but we could see the fab beer garden outside so we will definitely be back to enjoy this! Lovely pub :)

Local pub for us. Set opposite Bowood estate. Lovely old village pub. Quiet with friendly attentive staff. The food is pretty good. Well worth a visit.
