Was greated by a lovely lady, she was friendly and engaging. This was our first visit so did not know you needed to order from the bar or from app, after waiting for someone to take our order, my daughter asked where we order. Once we ordered we only waited a little while for it to come but one by one and my daughter had her meal and over 5 mins after my husbands and then another few mins before getting mine and then few mins later my daughter got her side order of pigs in blankets which were so burnt they were not edible. The food was delicious apart from the roast potatoes (the usual ready made ones) my vegan wellington was absolutely delicious 😋 veg was delicious too xx We saw on the drinks menu about the app and ordered drinks and were given at a timely manner 'perfect' When paying they had already taken off the pigs and blankets x thankyou The waitresses could be a little happier and be able to carry more than one plate at the time, and not to bang the plate on the table .

Pleasant experience food was nice although one roast sirloin we ordered was a little tough atmosphere was OK however it was a little noisy for us but screaming children isn't their fault so not judging on that overall it was enjoyable and quite well priced good service and clean toilets food came out in good time

I have been a regular customer to this pub for about almost a year now, since I had moved to work in the UK as our offices are based not far from this establishment. The location is pretty nice with a charming decor giving a warm welcoming atmosphere, namely with a indoor open chimney - perfect for the gloomy cold winter days. Not to forget the quite large terrace space the pub offers, perfect to enjoy a lunch outside when the sun deems to shine (the simple pleasure of life am I right ?) The staff with their attentiveness helpfulness and welcomeness also contribute greatly to the overall good atmosphere. Indeed they always welcome us with smiles and manage to get à is a table despite never booking in advance. Also by now, the staff knows most of our go to order. Now the piece se resistance : the food. Well it is your usual pub food. No fancy twist, just the classic dishes well prepared. See attached photo for yourself.A good value for money, particularly with the lunch set menu and the day to day special offers. Overall a well deserved 5-stars review. And I would have added an extra star if it was possible for this one time in winter when the car’s battery would not start because of the cold weather. So we sought shelter in the pub while waiting for the bus, and discussing about the situation with Amy , the manager, she spontaneously offered to give us a lift back home while the pub was crowded in mid service, after helping us first to jump start the car with her cables. Forever grateful.
