Uptown21

I felt for the lad who was working today, on his own. Doing the greeting of customers, taking orders, clearing tables, cooking the food, serving the food, completing the take away orders, running the til. Far too much for one person to contend with and he was stressed but did such a great job. The food took a while to come out but couldn't fault it when it arrived. He also checked we were happy with the food periodically and was overall top notch. Will be a shame if you lose this guy from putting so much on him. He gave us 10% off for the long wait as well, deserves a raise and a promotion. Lots of vegetarian options available and a specials board too.

Don't go to Camborne much so hadn't noticed this little gem of a place. Great menu choices and couldn't decide so, ordered 2 off the burger menu, halloumi fries and squid and fries. And we tasted a bit of each. Delish, the extras on the punjab were brilliant. The bbq sauce one was a bit too sweet for me but cooked really well. Pink mayo is the way to go. Watermelon salad, nice touch. I should have taken my insulated bag though, was only warm when I got home due to train crossing at station.

Stumbled across this place whilst visiting for a few days and didn’t want to try the normal ‘high street’ brands or similar. Found Downtown 21 on Just Eat and called the ‘owner?’ on his mobile and ordered two Down Boys and one skin on fries. Ready within 25 minutes even whilst serving guests and other orders. The Down Boy hot dog was personally the best ever (travelled many countries and have tried loads) and his flavours, garnishes and even that water melon slice was oddly amazing when tried with the hot dog. Went back the next day and had the Smoke Em Up burgers and wow, great burgers too. Camborne is lucky to have Downton 21!

We just experienced the Downtown 21 breakfast, the Cornishmans breakfast with a hot chocolate and couldn't be anymore impressed! The food was fresh and delicious, the effort that has gone into the food and the packaging was very much noticed and appreciated. We will definitely be trying one of them evening meals soon! Thank you!

Tried a takeaway for the first time this evening and will definitely be ordering again! Halloumi burger was particularly tasty, especially the pineapple salsa. Desserts were delicious - we had the cheesecake and the cookie dough (very generous portion). Chips were also cooked well. Was also great to see sustainable packaging. Thankyou for a lovely meal.

Fantastic Cafe, constantly trying to update it etc to make more room and friendly environment. Staff are always welcoming with a helpful attitude. I have eaten several times in the cafe and had a few takeaways as well. Good quality and great value for money, no other place offers the locally sourced produce for the low price.. Keep up the good work and look forward to what comes next
