Visiting Cambridge we of course had to stop at Fitzbillies for some Chelsea buns, which were not as messy as we expected and very good indeed. We also had some scones, nice as well. There was a long queue of customers waiting to order, but staff is amazingly fast and we even managed to get a table. Very nice experience overall.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and amazing cakes and pastries. Definitely try the date cake and cinnamon roll. The Chelsea buns looked amazing too but our stomachs couldn’t match our eyes!
Tea was good but served in teapot with a cracked spout so hope that gets looked at.
They also sell a limited range of hot food and plenty of food items and merch you can buy to take away or recreate the experience at home.
Definitely a good tea place to check out in the area but it does get busy and there is limited indoor seating.
It was ok. Scones were great. Nice place to sit in the back and enjoy the food.
Great spot for lunch in Cambridge, selection of food and sweet treats is amazing. Their signature Chelsea buns are to die for. Highly recommend and would go back again and again.
We went there for the very famous Chelsea bun and it did not disappoint. It’s very rich, syrupy and cinnamon-y. We didn’t know what to except but now I know if we lived in Cambridge this would be our guilty pleasure! Definitely worth the hype.
The iced latte was a refreshing blend of perfectly balanced espresso and creamy milk. Complementing the iced latte was the star of the show - the cinnamon roll. 🍮
Conveniently located in the heart of Cambridge, Fitzbillies is the perfect treat stop during your city sightseeing adventure.
You probably won't get a seat, unless you're lucky and there is always a line going out of the door. But it's worth the wait to be honest. Great Coffee, lovely pastries, famous buns, got to love the buns. Staff are always busy but nice and helpful.
You will not be disappointed, join the queue.
Nice location, just by the river.
Cinnamon bun is quite famous here and we tried it too . It was good :)
Great coffee!!
Famous for its Chelsea buns, Fitzbillies has lots more to offer. It has a full menu of brunch and lunch coffeeshop items, as well as a selection of yummy cakes. It can get very busy with its prime location by Magdalene bridge. It is by one of the main departure points for punts, so it may be an idea to buy a takeaway picnic to enjoy while punting.
Amazing Chelsea buns, good hot chocolate and quick service.
