Wok N Grill

Well this was a pleasant surprise, a buffet restaurant in Cambridge but it's inside what looks to me to be, a former pub. Inside it's nicely decorated, with a simple clean feel to it. It's also very clean and well maintained. The staff were great, they smiled when they spoke to me and they seemed quite relaxed but professional, the sign of staff who are happy at work. The food was better than average for a buffet, with the ribs being a particular highlight as they were soft and succulent. They also have a section where you can pick out fresh ingredients, such as a chicken or beef, (or both) veggies and then your choice of ho fun or noodles, and give it to the chef, then you picks your stir fry sauce out of a choice of ten varieties! Including Thai, Japanese and Indian variations after which the chef whips you up a stir fry. Whilst I was awaiting my freshly cooked food, I perused the buffet section there is a choice of about 20 items, I didn't count to be honest as I spied mmy faves and just went for those, ribs, toast, crispy seaweed and some sweet and chilli chicken, ate those and then had a small plate waiting when my main arrived. A main Which comprised of Chinese BBQ style sauce, with veggies, meats and ho fun stir friedand topped off with some bok choi. Or was it Pak choi? I keep mixing those two up. The food was good, way better than I expected from a buffet, the staff were pleasant, the establishment was clean and well maintained. And there was plenty of parking. All in all I can't fault the place. I was told this place has been here for years! I can kinda see why.

Really good value for money. I'm not that fond of all-you-can-eat, because I can't eat that much and I don't like food resting on warm containers... But they have a grill and you can have not only meat, but also tuna and veggies grilled for you and server with noodles on demand. I also like the jellies of the desserts.

Brilliant value for money with a very large selection of delicious looking and tasting food. Also great fun to watch your selection of raw meat, noodles, vegetables being cooked in the wok and being set fire to. Would recommend the jasmine tea for which you can get free refills. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. One of my favourite restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Went there this evening for a buffet meal and it was absolutely delicious. A great range of dishes from the buffet, and a lovely selection of food that could be stir-fried there and then for you. This place was recommended by a friend who had been there a few times before, and I was very glad of the recommendation. Would definitely recommend it myself. Didn't have to wait for a table, apparently it gets very busy on Saturday, and it's very reasonably priced too.

Excellent meal at Wok N Grill. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. £17.80 for the buffet on a Friday night although it is cheaper during the week and at lunch. Can't fault this restaurant, I really enjoyed my food although I went prepared to be disappointed I wasn't. I stuck to the main buffet although they also have a section where you can choose your own dish and they cook it for you which we didn't try. Maybe not the widest range of food but what there was was beautifully cooked. 5*.

Much smaller selection to that of other local buffets but far better food. Takeaway is available too but I would recommend the all you can eat buffet. The restaurant accommodates bookings up to ten people, with numbers greater than that requiring a small deposit. The food area can be a bit cramped but this is rarely a problem. The food is fresh and restocked regularly with no items unavailable when I went back up. The desert selection is decent too with cakes and ice cream available from a self-serve style counter. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as it offers decent value for the quality of food it offers. Plus, free on site parking and a nice pub (Green Man) opposite.
