Awesome place. Greatest waitress ever. Best Portuguese food I've ever eaten in Mass. Highly recommended

Held my parents 50th anniversary here over the weekend and had a great time. They seated 18 of us without a problem. Food was great and environment was very clean and welcoming. My wife has a milk protein sensitivity which mean no milk products (milk, butter, cheese). As you may know, most Portuguese love to eat and cook with these. The Chef came to us and explained they have alternative sauces / gravy that can make for her meal (beef a case, steak with egg on top). With 18 people, there was a great range of menu items ordered. Everyone really enjoyed their meals, when 18 people can seat quietly while eating a meal you know it’s GOOD. My wife LOVED her non-dairy meal and sauce, and wants to come back for that same meal, sooner rather than later. Great job Sunset and thank you for your service.

Everything was a bit salty from the soup to the seafood entree. But I know I might be in the minority. Otherwise, it all felt average. The waitress was perfectly fine. The environment felt more like a bar than a restaurant but whatever. It looked like a local hangout spot.

I visited the bar.
The menu was surprisingly diverse and the food was pretty tasty.
The bartender was friendly and quick at getting orders out.
The decor was sparse and all of the televisions were showing a wrestling match.
It's definitely a locals' bar and more of a men's bar, and it seems many men come in here after working in the area, particularly men who work for Gentle Giant.
The bar itself does not feel like somewhere I would go for a romantic date, but if you want to meet some men, it's a good spot for that!

A horrible experience, please never visit this restaurant ever. There were two servers on tonight and I was a apart of a big graduation party. I asked the server “what kind of drinks do your offer” since i didn’t hear at first. and I received an eye roll and his hands went up, basically saying “this girls dumb” infront of everyone which was humiliating. I understand being that being a sever is difficult but he could’ve just simply listed the sodas. Being a server myself, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. Never spend a penny here, it’s not worth it. The server might get a little stressed and make a horrible gesture to you.

I grew up in Cambridge, MA and moved to Florida going on 11 years. Don't have Portuguese restaurants around me so when I went home for a visit this was my first stop off the plane. We've always gone here for any family function and the food has always been so yummy. Seeing that it's not open anymore is so sad. Thank you for all the great food and great memories.

I have lived in the area for about 10 years and finally ventured in last Saturday evening. It's nicer on the inside than I thought, although they really do need new chairs and tables. The faded awning outside also really needs to go as it does nothing to make you want to go there.
Our experience started out rocky and stayed rocky for the 2.5 hours the two of us were there. As there was nice live music, the place seemed to be more crowded than what I usually notice walking by. The dinning room was about 2/3 full and was manned only by two waitstaff. There was neither hostess nor bus boys -- the result was two stressed servers who simply could not keep up given the number of tables and the fact most guests seemed to order alcohol, apps, entrees and desserts.
It was a fortunate thing that the waitress brought us bread because it took 50 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. At the 1.25 hour mark, the waitress came back to tell us that my entree was not available and I would have to pick something else. At close to the 2 hour mark we were brought another table's food.
Our waitress was nice enough throughout and apologized constantly. Our food actually was good once it was correctly served.
What was incredibly insulting to me and to all the other patrons was the complete failure of the manager to do a damn thing during the 2.5 hours I watched him come in and out of the dining room. He looked directly at tables that needed busing, empty water glasses and visibly upset patrons -- such as the table next to ours which eventually walked out. He did absolutely nothing. What good restaurant manager ever does that?
The fellow would stand in the area nearest the server station and look repeatedly at his phone and glance at the room. At some point I was tempted to go over and get the water pitcher he was standing next to to start pouring water for 4 to 6 tables with no water.
I really wanted to like this place as the music was good and the food decent. The complete disaster of service and the apathy of the manager, however, really ruined the experience.

Can't believe the place was empty! Food, prices, and service were outstanding! Apparently recently renovated and under new management. Hope business picks up for them, as I'd like to go again next time I'm in Cambridge.
