Open for the first time today! I love the mission of this restaurant - they donate one meal for people in need with every burrito purchased. A solid burrito, definitely will be back. There were veggies with vinegary tasting seasoning, balls of beef, rice, sour cream and a bit of cheese, jalapeños, and other delicious morsels. The flavoring was almost sweet, not sure why. Chipotle mayo topped it off. Lots of flavor and unique options. The one star knock was for the slightly high prices for bowls, and the ambiance. The neon green lighted sign flashes sometimes while you're eating, and the whole restaurant glows green. Not super appetizing. The speakers playing music also kept cutting out pretty badly. I assume there was a cell phone with spotty reception streaming and playing to them, though they are wired speakers. If they make the ambiance a little more pleasant I'd enjoy it more! :)

The ingredients are fresh, and the burrito was built pretty well.. it wasn't sloppy like most other places do. The flavor was great as well. I don't agree with some of the other reviews on the size of the burrito. It wasn't small at all. Almost same size as Chipotle and definitely larger than the original size in Boloco. Please keep up the good quality.. most places give up on that after a year of the opening.

Came today for the grand opening since they were giving out free burritos. The line was long but moved quickly; I was in and out within 10 minutes. It's a similar format to Chipotle; pick your meat, then add toppings. I noticed that the chicken was literally SWIMMING in oil, and all the toppings had onions in them, so I couldn't have anything (I'm intolerant to onions and garlic). The rice was wet and mushy, and the chicken, tortilla wrapper, and lettuce were nothing special either. To top it off, I'm pretty sure they had garlic in the chicken even though I told them about my allergy, since I have a stomachache right now. It was a dumb call to open Harvard Square's 6th Mexican restaurant, especially if you're not going to be bringing your A game. Looking forward to seeing what opens next here after they go out of business.

Today is the opening of this restaurant chain in USA. I am glad it was here in Cambridge,MA. I liked the place they selected, very close to Harvard so that many students can have a quick and healthy meal. Zambrero- Mexican with a mission. For every meal bought a meal is donated. As today was the first day they were giving 1000 burritos for free and I am happy to have one. I chose to have a bowl instead of a burrito. One difference I found apart from Chipotle is here the rice and beans are little sticky. I chose to have a veggie bowl with sour cream, lettuce,cheese,corn and salsa and jalapenos with a dash of lime juice and topped with red chilli and jalapenos sauces. Over all it was happy experience. They have restrooms and Street parking. Good luck team zambrero.
