J.r.'s Riverside Cucina

Came for the winterlicious experience at lunch and it didn’t live up to my expectations but still a good place and decent food. Staff was friendly, the place is really cozy but nothing really special. The warm olives and chourico were really good, the gnocchi Bolognese was a large serving but the taste didn’t do much for me, lastly the espresso ice cream ball tasted really bitter and just wasn’t good.

I have been eager to try this restaurant since it opened so close to home. The price was respectable, and the selection was good. The service was terrific - friendly but not intrusive at all. Food was just mediocre. Not terrible but not in the top class for Italian fare. The gnocchi was extremely starchy. The lobster bisque was decent but with mashed lobster that seemed to be canned. The grilled calimari was over cooked and rubbery. Hopefully the kitchen gets things in line! We need some great food in the area.

Had lunch with a couple of friends. Restaurant had only been open for 4 days so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. We were seated immediately and given a lovely basket of fresh bread and oil/vinegar for dipping. We ordered two pasta plates and a risotto plate. Everything came out at the same time, was hot and so yummy. Of course, we each tried each others and everyone of the dishes was excellent. Cant wait to try it again for breakfast. Pricing is normal for this calibre of food. Will definately be going back.

Went in for breakfast and the food was fantastic! Restaurant hasn't been opened all that long so I didnt go in with high expectations but I was thoroughly impressed. The Eggs Benedict was wicked and their Hollandaise is unique as I think they must make it in house and it has a citrus twist to it. Overall great and will definitely be returning to try their dinner menu.

We hired JR Riverside Cucina to cater our NYE dinner and it was AMAZING!!! The chicken picatta, lasagna and roasted vegetables were the best I have ever tasted. I can't wait to go and try the rosottr now that the restaurant is open. James was so accommodating and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely order from him again.

Ordered calamari fritti and escargot to start. Delicious! Mains were lobster fettuccini and gnocchi bolognese. The servings are huge! We had enough to bring home for snacks later. Thanks Chef James! Apparently we came on the busiest day since they've opened and service was awesome. Rita was very sweet and pleasant. Will be returning, with more people!

Very excited about this place. The atmosphere was very relaxed and casual but our meals were fancy 5star amazing. Chef James came out to greet my husband and I and chatted with us for a bit. I had the Veal Marsala OMG it was soooooo delicious. And my husband had the Veal limone also delicious. Can't wait to go back.
