Othersyde

We headed out of town following the solar system trail and found OtherSyde. A very fun and interesting place to eat and drink, in the grounds of a house attached to the Museum of Power. The bar, pizza oven and seating are all outdoors. I understand it's been there a few years, but looks like it was built for a single summer. The Beer and wood fired pizza were fantastic, the staff were friendly and welcoming. During the day it was busy but not full. As the evening drew in the whole place came alive with groups of people enjoying drinks and pizza, a trailer opened up into a tarot card readers booth. The whole place had a great feel, sociable and friendly. What a great venue.

I came across this place by chance whilst walking my friend's dog along the river Cam from Cambridge to Chesterton. Nice secluded spot serving hot drinks and a small range of cakes. Dog friendly. Plenty of spaces to sit outside overlooking the river. Enjoyed a very pleasant interlude before resuming our walk.

Always love my time here. The view is great, the pizzas are always so tasty, and love a pitcher or two (or three) of Pimms while viewing the river. I also love how they're using an app to order and pay for food. It makes me feel more comfortable going out to restaurants knowing some forms of physical contact are minimised!

Love having this place so conveniently close, a fantastic atmosphere & they have done a great job adapting to the covid regulation without altering the feel of the place. Friendly welcoming staff, a great selection of drinks, easy app to use (unless you have had one too many 🤣) & the pizza is amazing! I recommend this place regularly 😊

We love this sort of quirky place. Intimate and cosy in the teepee. Warm white low level festoon lighting in the garden. Great beers and wines and a few non alcoholic beers (could try harder on th low alcohol beers what with the vast range available these days). Ok coffee machine. Loved the attention to detail in the form of bottle lamp lighting on the tables and rolls of check blankets to keep you warm. A fire or log burner would be a nice touch but maybe too sensitive ecologically? Must be very nice sitting on the stepped terraces overlooking the river during the summer. Well done guys.!
