The Corner House Canterbury Restaurant

Went to the Marlowe theatre then booked for dinner at The Corner House the weather was atrocious but the welcome at The Corner House was warm and welcoming the food was excellent and I finished the evening with an Irish coffee which was one of the best I've had. We look forward to returning next month when we're booked to go to The Marlowe again then onto The Corner House.

Made a reservation for two for our anniversary and didn't regret it. We sat in a very nice corner, quiet and romantic and they even had flowers and cards for us (first time an establishment gave us cards!) We had the chicken supreme and the pork belly and it was very delicious! I don't usually finish my plate but this deserved it. We were quite full after, as the portion was quite big. The staff was very courteous, helpful and attentive. If you're looking for a romantic dinner, I would definitely recommend this place.

A lovely place just outside the city walls. Food was lovely - venison suet pudding was exceptional as was the home made ice cream. We had an issue which was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Lovely wine and espresso martini. We will return again. Service was a touch stretched in places but very professional.

Me and my Fiancé went for dinner at the corner house around a month ago and had one of the best restaurants experiences. We were served by a young man named Ollie who was excellent. All the staff were brilliant and the food is amazing. I have never been to a restaurant who took so much pride in their presentation and service. It was a really lovely experience that I think everyone should experience in the local area.

Amazing place... love the different spaces with different ambients from the open front of main restaurant to the more secluded garden room... they also. have beautiful outside area.... Compliments to the chef for an amazing new Venison starter they offered which wasn't on menu yet. And my flat iron steak cooked to absolute perfection as medium rare... really lovely place from a business lunch to meeting friends or that special romantic meal. Staff amazing too.. Loved this place and can't wait to go again.

Fabulous as ever.First visit to Canterbury Corner House. Our light lunch and dessert were spectacular.All the pickles were wonderful, but the salad was the jewel in the crown.Will try to recreate that.The pistachio and lime pie with lemon curd ice cream was stunning, every mouthful a delight of flavours.

We dined here last night and this was an absolutely perfect meal from start to finish. We arrived on time for our reservation, when I had booked online I made a request for a corner table and was given a few different options. We settled on a table to the left of the bar at the front of the building away from the kitchen. The touch of the treacle bread and water as we sat was appreciated. It is hard to pick an outstanding dish from what we ordered as everything over delivered. Every element, of every dish was executed with skill. A couple of standout items would be - the Mushroom Ketchup, this was heaven. Please bottle and sell this, we would buy by the bucket load. The Duck main also deserves a mention as it was exceptional, beautifully cooked, well balanced dish. The service was friendly & efficient. They were always there when you needed them and left you to enjoy your meal when appropriate. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

What an amazing meal! We had 18 people in our group and they took great care of us. The meal was perfect for each person and the talent of the chef of the team was displayed on each plate. We had a great service as well for our orders and drinks. We loved our roast dinner and would recommend this place to everyone! Thank you for a great experience.
