Very impressive - very good beer and delish foods. Way beyond our expectations! The sea bass fillet was juicy and flavorful, the sauce was heavenly. Lovely service as well!
Beautiful seating outside. Great food. The sea bass had nice crispy skin and a great porky sauce. The seafood risotto was loaded with seafood.
I highly recommend this place! For the quality, the price is very affordable.
Oldest pub in town!
Loved the atmosphere they maintained.
Food is delicious, best pork belly I’ve ever had 🤤
Selection on menu quite big, with great options of desserts too.
Don’t remember the name, but the mustard sauce coming with the pork belly was an absolute gem!
Another meal at this friendly pub!
We went for a short break to Canterbury following a recent work trip I'd been on... I wanted to share this fantastic venue with my better half.
Liam served the drinks and Taylor took care of the rest, thank you guys and thanks too to back of house. Also, it must be said, the loos were spotless, unlike so many venues these days.
Our 3 course Sunday Roast meal was amazing, we left the pub stuffed but very satisfied. I really can't wait to visit Parrot in Canterbury again as soon as possible.
A cosy pub steeped in history.
Speedy, efficient service from polite & welcoming staff.
We had a great family time. Loaded chips + crispy calamari+kids menu. Service was good, food cooked quickly and we really liked the portion size. And all tastes delicious 😋
Our first visit and we were quite impressed. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, good variety of beers and good service. Outside area to enjoy our drinks in the hot weather.
Visited the medieval dining room upstairs, with its slanting floor and beans. Would promise a new dining experience.
Geesh est. in 1370, mean that's cool. Even thoughit's been renovated it still has some of the original pieces. You step down into history when walking in. The atmosphere is definitely that of a true traditional pub, with some modern updates. The staff was super friendly going over the beer selection and food choices. One thing did really like was that they had a smaller portion size your could get for thier Fish n' Chips, which was perfect for lunch. It was also one of the best Fish n' Chips I had while visiting the UK, so I would highly recommend it. Super crispy and nice tender flakey Fish inside. Kids got a burger and Mac n' Cheese. Everyone very much enjoyed there food. They have a nice patio area in the back with plenty of seating. The Men's room was pretty cool with a very old door and lock with a sliding peak hole. Just a few steps away is a original Roman Wall, kind of like a little Park. If visiting Canterbury I would highly recommend making this a must stop!
Really lovely old pub. Met friends for dinner on Saturday evening and had a great evening. Good choice of drinks and plenty of choice on the menu. Staff were all super friendly and very accomadating.
Oldest pub in Canterbury and possibly the oldest pub I've been to. Very dark and cosy but also a pretty garden outside. Good choice of local beer. We only popped in for a drink so no comment on food. Very busy on a Friday night with lots of reserved tables so I assume it's popular. Definitely worth a visit
