We visited De Courceys for a Sunday lunch. We were well received. The bar is lovely with smiling faces happy to serve. Our order was taken at the bar. We were taken to our table. A very elegant set up of the dining room. Warm bread of different flavours served. Starters soon after arrived and drink orders did too. Then we had the main course. All food was hot and served promptly. Desserts followed. Amazing and prompt service with smiling faces. Very nice highly recommended if you like a relaxing Sunday lunch with lovely views.
We celebrated my mothers 60th birthday but having a Sunday lunch at De Courceys. We were all very impressed. The venue itself was beautiful. The service was excellent from every member of staff and the food was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with each of their 3 courses. They were also very GF friendly - the GF bread was very good and they also had GF croutons in the soup (which was a bonus and we don't see very often). It has a very nice relaxed vibe (I think they only do one sitting) and we didn't feel rushed at any point. We will certainly return for a Sunday Lunch again!
The team at De Coursesys were excellent right from booking out wedding to the actual day itself. Private venue, great food and fabulous staff.
What a lovely Sunday lunch. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and taken to the lounge area whilst we waited for our table. A good selection of Sunday lunch choices , delicious food. 6 of us chose various meals and there were clean plates all around. The staff were second to none, they couldn’t have made our afternoon any better. I’m looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you.
From the moment we went to a wedding Fayre at De Courceys Manor in January 2018, the place felt completely different to all the other venues we’d looked at. The manor itself is just gorgeous in every way, perfect for our winter wedding but what made DCM completely different was how we were treated from the moment we met Lewis. Instead of just being another couple, Lewis, Abi and the whole team really made an effort to get to know Paul and I, find out the type of couple we are and what we were looking for from our wedding. There was no pre set packages that we had to fit into, it was all about us and how DCM could create a perfect, unforgettable day that reflected us as a couple. Lewis has the best sense of humour and we instantly felt comfortable, like we’d known him forever. This continued throughout the planning and prep, Lewis and Abi were on hand whenever we had questions or wanted to pop in and they were absolutely the reason we booked with DCM above all else. Throughout the process we were supported, guided and advised and ultimately, DCM could not have done enough for us, they created the most incredible, perfect wedding day which ran like a dream. Nothing was too much trouble and every little detail was taken care of for us. We got married on 21st December 2019 and although it was close to Christmas which is one of their busiest times, on the day, everything was turned round so quickly with the team delivering a 5 star service. During the wedding breakfast, food service ran like clockwork with everything coming out to guests without a hitch. The food is one thing we have to highlight, simply incredible from start to finish, our guests haven’t stopped talking about it! We also were able to stay at the venue the night before and they accommodated guests who were travelling down even though they had a Christmas party on which we were so grateful for. We also have to give a huge thank you to Mary, Nicola and all the staff who worked during our day, they treated us like princes and it was a complete honour to share the day with them. We cannot thank DCM enough, from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for everything they’ve done, the day was a complete dream come true and it’s really no wonder that this magical venue has so many awards, you really cannot get better. Our guests have said how wonderful the venue was with many saying it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to from a decor, service and food point of view. De Courceys are first class in every way and we couldn’t be happier, the memories we’ve made are so special and it’s all thanks to them. If you’re considering venues for your wedding, you will not find a more accommodating, special place than this, we can’t wait to return to see the team in the future and see the exciting new extension they have planned. We recently chose DeCourceys for our small winter wedding and it was undoubtedly the best wedding venue we could have chosen. From the first visit where Lewis showed us around the venue to leaving the morning after our wedding, the venue and staff were perfect the entire time. Abi and Lewis were always on hand in the run up to the wedding to answer any questions we had, they were so flexible in tailoring the winter wedding package to us and we always felt so reassured and secure in their expert hands. We met with Abi for our pre wedding consultation and she was just incredible, nothing felt like too much trouble, she offered us great advice and reassurance and is clearly very talented at what she does. On the day, the service staff were fantastic, lots of our guests have commented on how amazing they were and that they are the best venue staff they've come across. The food is absolutely to die for and it was brilliant to able to give our guests so much choice and to know each course was going to be absolutely delicious. My husband and his party really appreciated the drinks to settle their nerves on arrival too! We want to thank all the staff involved in the fantastic running of DeCourceys and can't recommend the venue enough. Their combination of affordability, flexibility, personalisation, incredible food, warm hospitality and talented staff is truly exceptional and they deserve every award!
We had a family Christmas lunch on 22nd December and really enjoyed the meal and overall service & atmosphere. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff.
We hired a private room on Sunday 17th November to celebrate my wifes retirement with friends and family. The room was perfect for the occasion, staff were as always most helpful and obliging. The Sunday lunch was faultless, plentiful and everyone thourally enjoyed themselves, will definitely be booking Sunday lunch when available as sometimes weddings are taking place.
I had never been to De Courceys before and always wanted the opportunity to go. We recently attended a friend's wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The venue is stunning and from start to finish, the day was incredible. I can't give high enough praise for the friendly staff, great service, quality of the food and the attention to detail. Such an amazing, memorable day and I would highly recommend for a wedding venue.

Was at a friend's wedding. It's a nice venue. The drinks are expensive and the food was nice. The casino and the magician that the venue have are brilliant. And so is the DJ (I assume they all work for the venue?). The staff, waitresses etc are all really nice and helpful . Can't fault this place to be honest.
From reading the past reviews, we had high expectations, upon our attendance to a friends wedding. But we left thinking what an average dull venue, Canada Lake Lodge down the road is far better. Expensive, £5.50 a pint, £4.50 for 2 small cokes. You had to spend £5 to be able to pay by card. The food was average and took the staff ages to give the food out. Other tables had finished their main course, before we had even received ours. That said, the brownie was very good. The timings on the schedule, seemed to run over, as the evening guests were stood like lemons in the hallway waiting. The wedding table chairs were uncomfortable, very upright and thin. Felt like there wasn’t a cushion. To summarise an average venue and a venue that could be used anytime of the year.
Almost a year ago we visited De Courceys, and from that moment, we knew it was the ‘one’. The other venues we visited just didn’t compare. The service we were provided from our first visit was amazing, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and really made us feel like we weren’t just another wedding. The venue itself and accommodation are absolutely stunning, and we were lucky to have lovely weather so were able to enjoy outside as well. We’d read previous reviews on the food, and it did not disappoint, all of our guests commented on how delicious it was. We found one of the unique features of De Courceys, was being able to choose two options for our guests to pick from, and also being able to choose courses that weren’t necessarily on the menu. All of the staff are an absolute credit to Rachel. A massive thank you to Abi, who was amazing at answers any questions I had in the lead up to the wedding (and there were a lot), and to Lewis, who was available throughout the day to make sure everything went without a hitch – and it did. And finally to the Chef, kitchen staff and waitresses/waiters, the Service and food was absolutely outstanding and we couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you for the best day of our lives! Mr & Mrs Hand
Well where do I start. From the time our daughter and future son jn law visited De Courceys manor as a possible wedding venue nothing else compared. The whole process of booking and organising their wedding reception was dealt with the upmost professionalism. Abbie helped them every step of the way and was always on call to answer any queries Kimberly and Christian had. To the actual day, when family and friends arrived from the church the staff were on hand to help where needed.Everything had been decorated exactly as we had requested and looked beautiful. Onto the actual reception, the only thing I can say about the service and food is WOW, all our guests said it was one of the best meals they had ever eaten and the salmon was out of this world.I have to mention Nicola who served the top table what a credit she is to De Courceys. The rest of the serving staff and bar staff are also a credit to you.Also as my sister in law stated the bar prices are not a rip off either. The whole day flowed with ease in spite of the torrential rain ( umbrellas were provided for the smokers). The apartment and cottages are worth a star of their own, friends did not want to get up as the beds were so comfy. If you are looking for a venue for a wedding or anything else please consider De Courceys you will not get any better. Rachel your venue is amazing. My wife and I started our venue hunt not long after our engagement in 2018, we didn’t want to overwhelm ourselves so we narrowed the search down to three venues, Decourceys being one. Decourceys was the last venue to visit (not by choice) and as the saying goes, ‘keep the best until last’ When we arrived at the manor we were greeted by Abby whom may I add is one of the nicest people you will have the pleasure of meeting. We were asked to join her in the cocktail room prior to the venue tour where we were offered a beverage. It is worth noting out of the three venues visited, Decourceys were the only one to offer this. My wife and I fell in love with everything Decourceys had to offer so choosing the venue came easy to us. The manor recently updated their decor which adds a touch of class to the venue. We scheulded a second visit with Lewis whom made us laugh from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. My parents couldn’t get enough of him. Again we were offered free drinks (alcoholic) to take with us whilst he showed us the apartment suites as well as the cottages which are 5*. The apartment suite is truly amazing and the perfect place to get ready on the day of your wedding. Throughout the months my wife liaised with Abby where nothing was too much trouble. The manor itself is beautiful and a visit is a must. We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather on the day of our wedding, where the sun shone through the ceremony room and the floral room making it truly breathtaking. We cannot wait to see the professional photos to showcase this. On the day of the wedding an external company failed to deliver the white aisle runner for our ceremony, Abby/Lewis took control of the situation and handled it in such a professional manner that Kate and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Now on to the food.. I personally want to thank the chefs at Decourcey’s because the food was amazing. It comes as no surprise why Decourceys is ranked number 2 on Tripadvisor. From the starter to the evening buffet, every dish was 5*. I wish I had more. If we were to do our wedding again, we would choose Decourcey’s in a heart beat. Every member of staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. To Abby and Lewis, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding the best day of our lives. We are truly truly grateful.
Fantastic venue! The food was incredible, the staff were so lovely and helpful and the grounds are just stunning. Stayed in the Manor Cottages and it was so comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to host an event there.
We got married on 12th September at De Courceys Manor and it was the best experience of our life. De Courceys contributed greatly towards this wonderful experience by hosting our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party. We dealt with Lewis & Abigail and both went out of their way to always assist us and help us with anything and everything. Always available for a phone call and happy to answer queries via email, they and all the staff were amazing. So many of our guests were impressed with the beautiful surroundings and the set up of the Manor Hotel. The place is ideal for weddings, there's plenty of rooms offering something beautifully unique whether it's a party room for dancing or a quiet room to chill out. As for the food; WOW!!! One of the best meals I've ever had. Words do not do it justice, go there for yourself and try it! The fillet of Welsh Beef was melt in your mouth delicious!! Huge compliments to the chef. The staff there as well were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms were amazing, we stayed in the bridal suite apartment which was stunning and some of our guests stayed in the cottages and only had nice things to say about the presentation of the rooms. Once again a massive thank you and we would highly recommended to anyone considering using De Courceys for a wedding or even just for dinner. Oliver & Arina Coodye
Spent the day at De Courceys yesterday for a family wedding. We had a wonderful day and the staff were so friendly. Needless to say the food was superb. Also a beautiful venue for a wedding. We all had a fantastic day and night.
Had our wedding at De Courceys this month. Throughout the whole process everyone we dealt with was absolutely brilliant. The day was organised round our requests without hesitation. Our lack of organisational skills was not an issue! The day was just what we hoped for. The food was excellent, the organisation spot on and the friendly service added to all this. Thank you to everyone at De Courceys for making our day so wonderful. The best rating I have yet given on TripAdvisor, and a full some recommendation.

The Building was very impressive as we drove along the drive to the front entrance. The staff were friendly and welcoming and served as drinks on arrival. We were shown in to the Dining Room . The food was excellent and the table was decorated to a high standard. The guests on our table were very friend and we all had a very entertaining and enjoyable evening.
