Quiet place with a lovely atmosphere. The food came quickly and tasted lovely. While yes it can be pricey, it's well worth the money.
Lovely atmosphere our server was fast and attentive but not over the top. French onion soup to start was amazing. Rich tasty and refreshing. I had the brecon seafood and my partner had the fish pie all the food tasted fresh and well seasoned.would definitely go back again.
Really loved this Restaurant. A nice atmosphere, the food was great & a nice selection of Wines & other drinks. The Waiter was very professional & polite. Spent a lot but worth it. Finished off with a lovely Calvados & an Armagnac. The Wines we had with the Meal were also excellent as were the Plum Desserts
Best place in town for classy cuisine, every mouthful is a delight and the staff are both helpful and knowledgeable. Always remember us and save us our table! food there is perfect...highly recommended
Staff were really attentive, helped bring and take away food very quickly. Everything came out within minutes of ordering/ finishing the previous course.
Price was slightly high, but we are students to be fair. Portion sizes were plentiful with the 3 course Valentine’s Day meal, left very full and very happy.
Food:
French onion soup was pretty good, nice touch of alcohol.
Steak tartare was very nice! Raw meat can seem slightly off putting, but the capers, seasoning, spices, and Tabasco condiments worked really well to mask this.
Roast pork was interesting, well cooked, sauce was rich, veg and dauphinois potatoes all very nice! Would have preferred the skin to have been slightly crispier all around. Something different nonetheless, I’m sure it’s perfect if you have more sensitive teeth.
Desserts were wonderful, no complaints, loved the salted caramel tart.
Lovely French style restaurant which is a stones throw away from the Millennium Center. Close to taxi rank and 5/ 10 minutes walk from car parks.
Our party of 8 pre-booked a table prior to visiting the Millennium Center to see a production. The restaurant is very busy and pre booking is advisable.
We were quickly seated and our drinks order taken, served very quickly and food orders taken. Within 5 or six minutes our first courses arrived, well presented , cooked and served. The main courses followed in due course. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Efficiency, tasty and beautiful food. We all agreed we would definitely return to dine there. The prices are competitive for both food and drinks. The restaurant is well decorated, with comfortable seating and easy to find. It is adjoining the Dolphin Quay and it's attractions ,a short taxi ride from Cardiff city center. It's wheelchair accessible too.
A very nice meal. Perfectly cooked steak to order. Great Gluten Free options for my wife and a nice atmosphere.
My only quibble is that there are tables next to employee stations which got a bit crowded whilst we were eating our meal.
