Canton Chinese Delight

Tried this for the first time tonight dont normally write reviews but this place deserves a mention the food was absolutely delicious didnt order to much as had a few rubbish ones was pleasantly surprised, was fresh and hot and the beef was so succulent will definitely be ordering again and trying other dishes.

Very happy with my meal tonight, the noodles taste impeccable, the rice tasted fresh and the chicken balls were very filling! I asked for 3 fortune cookies and they gave 4 which was nice of them, and they also gave a Chinese calendar for 2022 which was an amazing surprise. Overall, the food here is incredible, and they are really generous with their portion sizes. Thank you for such great food, I will be ordering again!

Only Level 3 food hygiene rating, necessity and urgency helped us see past that though. Had chicken fried rice, chicken and cashew nuts, chicken sezchuan, prawn toast & prawn crackers. All tasted good and was modestly priced. The cashew nuts themselves looked rather shrivelled and sorry, Prawn toast was disappointingly rubbery but had a good flavour. This and the hygiene rating cost them my 5th star. They're now my 2nd choice for Chinese takeaway in Canton. My preferred Chinese takeaway is closed on Mondays. We've tried several others and this ranks above anything else on Cowbridge Road East.

Now under new management! The whole place has been refurbished and is now looking clean and bright. I ordered a few different dishes: Singapore fried rice, chicken noodles, special curry and crispy shredded beef. All hot and fresh and very tasty 😋😋😋. I loved the crispy shredded beef dish, it was so crispy and the sweet and sour sauce compliments it nicely. I will definitely go back again and will try some of their popular vegetarian dishes next time!
