I had an excellent lunch here. I was the only person in, although someone else’s meal was cleared away soon after I entered (on a match day at 2pm). The chicken mandi was enormous, the zhoug nicely sharp, the broth warming, the meat falling off the bone, and the rice sublime.

Food is amazing. The meat melts in your mouth and is sooooooo flavourful. The naan is my favourite naan ever. Everything just tastes so homemade it just warms up your heart 🥹 I definitely recommend the Masoub for someone who likes desserts and would like to try something new!

The food from this place was simply, amazing. Ordered takeaway from here and came within 15 minutes. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. The mutton was succulent and just broke apart in my hands, the rice was so full of flavour. It's amazing how the delivered food was this great, can't wait to find out how tasty it will be dining in.

Recently had a takeaway order from here and it arrived within 30 minutes.
The meat was incredibly tender and fell off the bone. The sauces that accompanied it blended in deliciously.
This is truly a hidden gem. The haneed can easily fill up one person as the portions are quite large and there are lots of meat pieces. We also had the mandi which was just as good. Yemeni food is a must try!

Loved the food here. The owner is friendly and helpful. It has a homely feel and had a good selection of vegan options. The food was a little on the salty side, but definitely a place I'd come back to!

On holiday in Cardiff and felt like getting something other than your standard British fare, so we happened upon Bab Al-Yemen since it was near our Airbnb and based on other store fronts we were in an area with a greater population of people of Middle Eastern descent. We got several dishes like the half roasted chicken (so tender!), rice and vegetable curry, and foul moudames, and we were quite pleased with everything. The foul came with a fresh green chilli sauce (zahaouek I believe), and it was very spicy and packed with flavor. Nice spot!

Ordered the chicken mandi rice via Ubereats and it tasted like home (coming from the food paradise of Singapore). Keep up the good food and looking to dine-in next time I visit Cardiff. Would have given 6 stars if I could.
