We recently celebrated a 70th birthday here. The venue, service and food were exceptional (our guests were very impressed) and we would not hesitate to recommend the Old Post House to anyone considering booking an event. Having visited many other high profile hotels in Cardiff and Newport this was the best by far. Many thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

Went there for a family gathering. All well organised and the Sunday menu suited all tastes. Food, hospitality and venue great and all meals were reasonably priced.
Friendly and helpful staff, so well worth a visit.

Prices are reasonable for freshly cooked food with thought and flavour.
I usually order fish mains as they do them so well - Hake & Sea Bass a personal favourite.
Good wine & desert options available.

Had lovely lunch at this venue for my sisters birthday . The food was excellent and our service was very good. The waitress was very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble .
Sunday lunch was lovely. Staff were accommodating to dietary requirements and great with my little girl. The place is nice without seeming too posh and stuffy. Would visit again for sure. Great value for the quality of food too.
Beautiful location, Restaurant (no longer a hotel) a hidden gem. Menu attached, Vegetarian and other dietary requirements met. Friendly helpful staff.
We celebrate our wedding here in 2016 and the location, rooms and service were over the top. It is all down to the staff who is taking care of everything.
Tonight we went back for an early dinner and still an amazing place with beautiful atmosphere, amazing staff and high quality food.

Love this place. Been a couple of times and had a really nice meal. Recommend this place. Only one time we asked to move seats as people near us were too noisy but host promptly moved us no problem.👍
