Me and my partner visited here on a Wednesday, Valentine's day.
I ordered a panini but they were out of stock so I just ended up sharing my partner's chips and cheese side order, he ordered a chilli cheese dog which came with chips and sour cream. He enjoyed the hot dog and I did aswell albeit very greasy though. The chips were nothing special but the cheese was mostly at the bottom and stuck to the wrapper which was a let down.
We ordered a root beer float and a mocha supreme, they gave me the incorrect order as it was a latte and definitely NOT a mocha. My partner said his drink was very sickly halfway through but that's to be expected.
The decor is nice, although the lad that served us had a very strong accent so we had trouble understanding him (not his fault obviously), and even though it was quiet no-one came to seat us until we walked in ourselves.
The pricing wasn't too expensive as the portion sizes were okay.
I wouldn't return personally.

My friend and I spotted this restaurant on a previous visit to Cardiff and said next time we will go here for food. Started off well, waited at the sign then was quickly greeted by the friendly waitress and given a table. She then came back a few moments later and took our drinks order, slightly less enthusiastic. Another waitress brought our drinks over and took our food order. She was more friendly and happy. I asked her how spicy the "hickory bbq ribs" are and she said slightly spicy, I explained I cant handle any heat so she recommended choosing something else so I ordered the 10 ounce sirloin steak. She was very attentive and helpful. There wasnt too long a wait for our mains. The food was nice but not the best I've had. I ordered the steak medium rare but found most of it medium-well done. The chunky chips were nice but the onion rings were awful. My friend did enjoy her ham and cheese panini. Whilst we were eating our mains, a group of 9 men, who hadnt reserved a table, walked in. Once the plates were removed we asked to see the dessert menu again. There was a good hour wait between the main and dessert because the table of 9 were being served their mains during this time. When our desserts finally arrived, I found the underneath of the pancakes slightly burnt and far too much cherry sauce/compote on them. The nutella milkshake was delicious and my favourite part of the meal, the milkshake came with an extra portion in a cup so was well worth the price. The waitress brought the bill over and we explained we wanted to pay separate so had to go to the bar with her to reprint the reciepts and then pay separate. She was again unhappy and did not smile a great lot. I am normally very positive in my reviews and understanding of certain situations but I was not 100% happy with this restaurant. We did not even get an apology for the long wait between courses. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours and only ordered two courses, we would have prefered to spend more time shopping. I hope the customer service and the food improves in this restaurant because it could really be special and live up to the decor.

Would avoid at peak time! Went on a Saturday afternoon. Waited at the entrance for over ten minutes with barely seeing a server, let alone being acknowledged. Most people seemed to wait a couple of minutes then give up, seated themselves, or just looked annoyed when they were seated. Obviously management and staffing problem.
Another long wait for our order to be taken. But, food and drinks did arrive very quickly after that.
I had a salad and my friend had a burger. Not particularly impressed with either. You might as well order a big burger with all the sides to make it worthwhile.
I really wanted to try an alcohol milkshake. I had the Bourbon Street and it was delicious. Literally the only thing that made it worth it.
Décor, theme and music were pretty good.
Prices standard I guess, but not worth paying if you're not going to have a positive experience there.
Also, there's no bathroom. You have to go to the public restrooms.
I would go over to St. David's 2 and visit Ed's Easy Diner instead.

This place doesn't deserve a star... Well the decor is cool I suppose which is what attracted us.
The staff are ridiculously rude. They sent people back out to wait to be seated when the place was empty but they ignored the front entrance anyway! The owner/manager abused customers behind their back calling them thick and to open their eyes as he sent them back to the entrance to wait to be seated!! Obviously they walked straight out.
While I was there 2 lots of customers walked out because of how rude they were.
We ordered milkshakes, hotdogs and chips... After 45 minutes nothing came so we walked out too!!

Came by here for lunch on Saturday June 9th - was around 2pm so heading towards a late lunch - my Fiancee and I both ordered burgers , mine just a Veggie burger while he ordered with chips - I can't remember the one he ordered though - the Veggie burger itself was nice - medium to large size depending on what you decide - for me large - it was two veggie patties with two slices of cheese and corn syrup style sauce - no actual salad yet this wasn't mentioned in the ingredients yet I was expecting that as most burgers have salad - I enjoyed my burger and felt very full. Service we received was ok to good - the young lady who showed us two our seats and gave us our bill was friendly and helpful yet the young guy who took our order seemed a little rude - English was his second language so he seemed to not understand us fully - not his problem per say as to learn a language you need to practice / use it - more the employer needs to make sure that there staff can speak decent English to interact well with customers! - I would attend again.

The diner was quiet when my daughter and I visited. She had mozzarella sticks which were the highlight of our experience. My brie and cranberry panini had very little filling so I sent it back and asked for more brie. Staff could do with an injection of sparkle. Restaurant needed some heating. Won't be going back.

The service was terrible, wait to be seated eventually. The foreign staff didn't understand the order and were rude. It seemed like none of them had a clue how to serve or had any customer service training. I ordered the Mexican dish which was supposed to be spicey meatballs. I received chips with chilli sauce and 3 meatballs which were so overcooked it was like eating balls of flour. The onion rings were like donut batter and the chips were cold and chewy. I had to go up to the counter to ask for the bill as none of the staff were interested. We could have done as other customers that got bored of waiting and walked out without paying. All in all I would not recommend or return as the food and service are substandard for the money paid.

Rude staff like other reviews say and the food was horrible! Never had to send food back before. The hotdog tasted like it was 80% hotdog water and the burger meat was stale. When we complained they offered no substitute or apology, just said other people didn’t mind the burger. We said we would not pay for the food and they didn’t seem to care.
Drinks were actually alright though, but would not come here again.
