Gassy's

Student pub. Cheap drinks and a place to get drunk before you go see a gig. Nothing more, nothing less! Edit: I am just responding to the comment from the owner - I was probably being a bit blasé in how I wrote my review. Gassy's is 5 star for what it is: A bar that caters for students and a casual/easy drinking experience. The proximity to the student's union is perfect for a meeting point before a gig and the place opens up into a fun night out if you wanted to have more of a party vibe! I wouldn't say that you would need to do much atall to make it 5 star. It just wasn't 5 star for me as an overall entity. For what you guys are trying to accomplish, you nailed it. It just isn't a place that I would come to for a quiet drink to catch up with my work or to have a daytime coffee. I would come here to meet friends, have lots of drinks, and if I was a student again; have a party! I'm glad you guys are still going - keep doing what you are doing.

Lovely little gem, friendly staff, good value bottomless brunch with LOTS of options for everyone including good drink options! We very much enjoyed ourselves. Classic pub like atmosphere. Would have been 5 star, but the toilets were a little smelly But not awful. And, what pub has good toilets anyway!? The rest of the place was clean!! That's what matters.
