I’m not from Cardigan, or even close living 4 hrs away. Me and my partner stumbled across this little Gem of a Bar on a Thursday night while on holiday. Welcomed instantly by who I assume is the owner Steve and the rest of the staff and “local” punters. Offered a burger at a reasonable price, and my vegan girlfriend was also catered for.
It was an open jam night, and I have to say there was a serious amount of talent on display, from the jazz flute, guitarist and a character poet. Well worth a visit if you are in the area!
Some of the best music I've ever seen up close. Not just dots on a stage a hundred yards away, top bands right in front of your face: Incredible! superb musicians from the best local bands and world class musicians from all over the planet: just look at the history on this page. All of this in a small Welsh town. Blimey, it beggars belief!
Just visited nice friendly staff, Just had a ham and tomato panini and my other half had a bacon and cheese.
Absolutely lovely nice meaty ham and really fresh tomatoes and side salad, latta is also spot on. In/out door seating and dogo friendly, the dogs loved their free sausages thank you 😁 also thought great valve for money
Visited today with my family of five and four dogs. Sat outside on a table that worked perfectly for us. Very nice touch: sausages for the dogs. The food was simple and delicious. Beans on toast hot and proper beans. Cheese on toast with absolutely tons of lovely cheese was a big hit. Quiche felt home made and came with a very varied and tasty salad including coleslaw, potato salad and pasta salad. Ham sandwich in fresh thick bread - ham was thick cut and breaded. Side salad with samdwiches fresh, crunchy and colourful. Very reasonable price and friendly service. Good understanding of the needs of dogs ans their owners! Books and other stuff to browse inside which I will do should I ever return without hounds.
Very positive atmosphere with super kind workers. Nice food too, even the kids meal.

Lovely cafe with good range of food, feels very home cooked and lovely style inside.
The best breakfast in Cardigan in a quirky cafe served by a wonderful team.
There are second hand books to buy for a pound and dvds for two pounds.
Very quickly everyone knows your name and your order. It’s like sitting at home but with better service and no washing up.
I wish I could go there every day. A traditional British café and tea room at its very best.
Best breakfast, lovely staff and delicious food thank you
Fantastic little cafe offering a great selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. Food is great and tasty and freshly prepared by the lovely staff working here. They offer a good selection of basic foods and the portions are huge, especially for the money you pay. They offer children's meals as well as breakfasts, main meals and some light snacks. well behaved dogs are allowed as well and it's situated opposite the castle so you can use it as a base for a visit.
Great honest food and can only recommend this place.
Great little Cafe. Friendly staff and dog friendly too. Pooches even get a free sausage 😀 love it! I go regularly for a fry up and lots of black coffee: I'm an addict. Same location as The Cellar Bar, but keeps different hours. The Cellar houses a cracking good live music venue: fabulous 😀!
Great place for tea and toast. (And extras) And I love that they welcome 4 legged friends with a free sausage. Top marks for me..👌
Superb little place!! Service with a smile. Food was beautiful and served promptly. Tea was excellent too. I totally recommend this excellent little business.
