I was taken by friends to this restaurant last Friday and my vegetarian food was one of the best Indian meals I have tasted. Highly recommend this unusual boat restaurant, lovely atmosphere and friendly attentive staff.

As a family we love Shampan, the food is very good, the service is great, and the view of the river is interesting, also it has a certain quirkiness which we love.

Always a delicious meal here. Very reasonable price and the service is brilliant every time. We really look forward to each time. It could do with a freshen up on the decor but the food is the reason we come. Thanks to all at shampam

Interesting Location. Food was really good and not to expensive as restaurants go.

I don't remember having a better Indian meal! The food was superb! The staff were all friendly and polite. Being on a boat, the setting is brilliant. We watched the tide coming in around us while the sun set.

Our first time having food here, really lovely food, plenty of portion, very friendly staff, will definitely be back.

We've been spending our summers holidaying in West Wales for about 9 years and, after a 2 year (Covid lockdowns etc...) break, returned and were very much looking forward to re-visiting the Shampan as it was always one of our favourite places to eat. We weren't disappointed!
We are here twice during our September holiday working our way through utterly delicious dishes of beautifully HOT Goan Green Massala, coconutty Chicken Ceylon, buttery Makhani, slightly sweet & medium spiced Goan Methi and richly flavoured Madras.
The prices have gone up a bit, but given the current financial climate this is perfectly understandable - especially as this restaurant is a BOAT and not on mains gas, and I certainly wouldn't consider the increases excessive.
We're very much looking forward to returning next year whilst on holiday.

We were not sure whether to go here based on mixed reviews but we are glad we did. The staff are friendly and efficient, they worked their socks off to give good service. The atmosphere was happy. Yes, it is odd seeing the freezers in the main part of the restaurant but it is a boat and kitchen space is limited. Lovely food with plentiful portions which is the main thing. Don't be put off by the bad reviews. Make your own mind up!

Well its definitely and unique experience.. staff great, food was also good but maybe lacking of one or two spices for me and my partner; ambiance was good but agree with some others comments that the place is a little tired and needs a little update. Price wise is pretty OK, so do try and see what you think.
