Great place to stop to stretch legs and have a bite to eat on our way to the lakes. Enjoyed a bowl of gf vegan sweet potato soup and gluten free bread. Lovely variety of plants and very impressed with well priced sturdy wooden planters. Playpark for children. Good selection of pet supplies and toys.

Other stories are told every day from this beautiful place so instead i will show you in pictures, the day they saved the swans. Apparently it was very windy through the night. The swans turned up unannounced so staff cordened off a strip the car park and called RSPB to be sure these birds were ok. I did notice one seemed really tired. As i was leaving, two members of staff were helping them along to a better area well done staff. I hope all was well in the end

Highly recommended. Good choice of specials on offer today. Well executed. Delicious and very well presented. 3 of us called in here for lunch on a journey between Newcastle and Glasgow. The trio of sausages with mash and onion gravy was great. Finished off with a very nice cappuccino, nice and strong.

Lovely garden centre to browse around. Plant stock is lovely and healthy. Found some interesting and quirky things. Loved the craft department bargains.

Nice cafe and garden centre. Tea, coffee and scones were good value but I wouldn’t pay the asking price of £5 for a sausage roll or £10.95 for a slice of plate pie! That worked out at £88 for a full pie. Nice profit if you can get it. People in the queue were all commenting! Would have got 5* if not for that!

Had cherry and cheese scone at 10.30am on Sunday with coffee and they were absolutely delicious. They were huge, light as a feather with a perfect crust and still warm from the oven! Very impressed to see you use whole cherries instead of the shredded cherries used elsewhere. So enjoyed them I took my friend there on Monday too for more cherry scones and they were perfect yet again! Keep doing what you're doing, we will be back, and soon!

Big garden center. Good selection of plants, seeds and accessories. Helpful and friendly staff. In front of the entrance to the store, there is a stand with vegetables and fruits. Reserve a few hours to visit this place :)

This garden centre is very very big. They had a sale of craft items. There is also an exhibition of miniatures which was amazing to see I really don't know how they did some of the items there are tiny drinking goblets that were blown. No photos were allowed. The garden centre plants were well cared for. The cafe was lovely, clean and tidy. The food was good.

Lovely garden centre! We visit regularly as they have a great house plant selection! The miniature museum is very cute and worth a visit. It also a beautiful place at Christmas with lots of gift ideas and home decor.

Went mainly for lunch but had a browse round the shop and Garden centre. The café was closed for a refurbishment, but the restaurant was open. It was probably extra busy as a result. They had an interesting table allocation/food delivery system that I have not come across before. Instead of the popular number on a stick and the endless debate about whether it is right or wrong to send someone in the party to claim a table while queuing, you have to find a table and place a restaurant-provided 'reserved' sign on it so you can provide the table number when ordering. There are pros and cons but I, for one, liked it. We both only had a simple, basic lunch as that was all we were after. We both enjoyed it. The menu was extensive and priced at the level you would expect for a large, 'chain' garden centre. It was a nice, clean and well-presented setting, good food and decent service. The shop and garden centre were both well stocked and presented. Again, pricing was as expected. Apart from the section closed for improvement, there was nothing to disappoint.
