Scalles

Scalles has been a community favorite in Carlisle, Pa for years. They have the BEST chicken corn soup around! The setting is beautiful as the building is a converted grain warehouse, with wooden beams. The food is good, service is very quick, and you can even purchase a six pack or wine to go. Although the do serve platters, they're sandwiches and fries are bangin!

Incredibly fast service. Excellent sandwich menu and friendly service. The space is small but cozy. There is something available for everyone at this restaurant. The front entrance also has a nice selection of beers and ciders for 6 packs. I highly recommend this stop for family outings or a quick bite with colleagues for lunch.

Have been wanting to try Scalles for years. Finally decided to go today for lunch. You seat yourself in this establishment. Seems quite popular with the locals. The waitress was professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. They have quite a lot of choices of American foods on their menu. I chose the fish & chips platter and my husband had the fried clams platter. We were both happy with our food. Not greasy at all and plenty on the plate. The macaroni salad was delicious! Their prices tend toward the higher range, so it’s not a place we’ll visit often. But, we do plan to return.
