Wonderful service and we loved the interior, open planned yet intimate with lovely windows and relaxing views. We went for the Sunday roast which was very nicely done and the starter was brilliant too! Would definitely visit again.

Second time here for Sunday lunch and both times the food has been great. The Sunday lunch menu is two courses for £26 or three courses for £30. There’s floor to ceiling glass windows one one side of the restaurant which offer beautiful views out over the golf course. I went for a main and starter with no dessert. I was a little gutted when I heard the soup was cream of tomato - thought it was quite a boring choice! I couldn’t have been more wrong, the soup was absolutely beautiful. For the main I got the sirloin beef. It was delicious and a very big portion along with veg and potatoes. My girlfriend got the chicken main but was rather disappointed with the size compared with the beef. I did feel sympathetic as there wasn’t very much on the plate at all compared with the beef dish. Never gone wrong with the beef so I’d stick with that in future.

Absolutely loved my lunch here today. Everything was just perfect.... lovely friendly staff, prompt service, excellent food and super high cleanliness. This was my first time at The Rookery but will not be my last. I was lucky enough to be given a window table with gorgeous views over the links... just wonderful 👍😃. Thanks for making this solo diner so much at ease. Faultless service.❤️😃Fiona

Fabulous dining experience at the Rookery, attentive staff that provided excellent service, menu was full of mouthwatering dishes. My wife enjoyed the scallops starter while I opted for the soup of the day a delicious spicy vegetable and lentils. Mains were pan seared venison with dauphinois potatoes and peppercorn sauce while my wife opted for the Roast Bell Pepper and Crab Pappardelle, dessert consisted off date and toffee pudding and the Clementine and hazelnut meringue parfait all beautifully presented. Fantastic dining experience and price that you would expect to pay from a good restaurant.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Rookery tonight against the scenic backdrop of the 18th hole of the Championship course. The Tomahawk steak was delicious and well presented being spot on at medium. The lovely friendly staff are clearly all highly trained and the superb quality of food makes this one of our favourite destinations.

A nice entrance and welcome from the Maitre. Had reservation and promptly seated with coats taken to cloakroom. Chilled flask of water provided immediately. Decent amount of time allowed to settle in and appreciate the surroundings and the view over one of the best golf courses in the world before offered to order drinks. No pressure. Quite a short menu for both food and drink but what is offered is top quality. Ordered 2 mains; duck and venison. Portions were small but meat and accompanying vegetables, sauces etc were fantastic. No rubber ducks or overcooked venison here - and Daphne knows her tatties. Sticky toffee pudding to follow. A bit disappointing in amount and flavour. A bit dry. The adage that you can serve mediocre food but finish with a great pudding forgotten. And this was not mediocre food. A lovely Argentinian Malbec completed the experience. The other slight negative was that there was a persistent cold draft. We were frozen when we arrived, thus the choice of pudding, and regretted surrendering our coats. Other diners seemed unconcerned. Maybe it was our table location, which was worth the suffering. A memorable meal, more for the location than anything else.
