First time visit with friends who had been there before. Had tried their award winning pies previously (👍🏻)but was even more impressed after sitting in for a meal. Loved the chicken bhuna pie and 3 sides that I had. My partner and friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Will definitely be back to try other delicious looking meals on the menu. Thanks for a fab meal and great service from the staff

Restaurant by the caravan site. With ample options of Scottish food. Lovely outside seating with nice ambiance. Friendly service, food took a while that day.

Eaten here a few times now, for brunch, lunch and dinner. Always had a great experience. Varied menu, generous portions and good value for money. Had an extremely fresh and tasty sea bass this time. The afogato is enormous! Staff are friendly and efficient, and it's nice to sit in the covered outdoor seating area. I usually buy a few of their award-winning pies to take home for later. Make sure you arrive hungry if you go for the pie 'supper' deal. Just be aware, if you want beer or wine, you need to bring your own (although my dad got a pint from the pub next door). Vegans are well catered for

We stopped off on our way home from a trip to Carnoustie, for some takeaway pies to eat at home. The pies were lovely - we had bhuna and Mac cheese with pickle. Slightly pricey but you’re paying for homemade products and quality ingredients. The rest of the menu sounds great. It’s quite an unassuming location, but there are no-frills indoor and outdoor tables. It’s small but very clean and tidy. We were served quickly but then waited for 15 mins for our takeaway coffees - I think they’d been forgotten, as it felt like a long time. One of the people indoors was vegan and when he was served, there were no vegan options left, which was a shame as he couldn’t eat alongside his family! It’s hard to judge demand for vegan food though. I don’t think I could justify travelling from Glasgow but well worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Award winning pies, delicious brunch menu, this is our new favourite place. My sister now brings our family some pies from the Wee Cook whenever she can. The Mac n pickle pie is out of this world and I've not stopped telling people this, since I first tried them 😁😁👍 Not far from Monifieth, friendly staff, fresh and tempting menus, this place is a gastro-delight in Angus!

Great wee place! New trainee cook so service was slower than they would normally but they kept us informed all the time and we even got free poppadoms and a shot of special rum! We sat outside, it was raining but it wasn't cold, we could have had blankets had we asked for them. (it's covered!) The atmosphere was great for us - family catching up, chatting all night, talked to the other diners and the owner even came to say hello. BYOB, no corkage charge if you bring wine or beers. They sell soft drinks only and their costs are clear. Oh, and the food was good too! Great night, good luck for the summer!
