Blu Bar & Restaurant

Came here a week ago for dinner with parents, aunt and my 1 year old. Had a lovely time - all the staff were great with my daughter, super helpful and friendly which is great because eating out with little kids can be stressful at the best of times and a lot of waiters can be less than welcoming to young kids. Some of the best customer service I've ever received and would come back on the basis of that alone. Food was absolutely delicious especially for the price, had an amazing salmon dish and my mum is still raving about her mezes, a decent portion size too (nothing sickening tho). Only room for improvement would be to maybe get plastic or shatterproof plates for little ones - understand it doesn't go with the vibe of the restaurant but I was very concerned she might try pull the fancy plate off the table so we moved her stuff onto a napkin for her to eat off. That said she loved it and we all had a ball.

In the area for a short holiday and booked a table for 6 at fairly short notice - only options were 6 or 7.45pm, so make sure you book. Service was good, food (main course only) took about 40 minutes to arrive but that's ok given the small kitchen. In the meantime the staff made sure we had drinks etc. Food was good - son had fillet steak med rare which was cooked to perfection. Rest of us had a variety of chicken and seafood. Would recommend the iskander - delicious! Owner very friendly - good chat about football! 😁
