Nice setting and warm welcome. We decided to go for some items off the festive menu, this included honey mustard pigs in blankets and bacon Brie and cranberry toastie. The toastie was a little over priced at £7 and the toasted marshmallow …
Nice cafe, we had coffee and snacks, which were fine, but I was shocked at the babycino price. I got one each for the kids, 2.25 was very expensive for frothy milk, but I was happy to pay as I assumed it was a full cup of milk. But no, 2.25 for about 50ml of frothy milk is just shocking price gouging!
Had to wait a long time for our food (hot drinks were finished before the food arrived), had to ask several times for water and the younger staff were not very friendly, not a good look in hospitality. Salads were frugal and uninspiring. Only one toilet, uni sex. Prices reasonable.
What a little gem of a coffee shop in this wonderful little gem of a village. The food and drinks sre delicious,, the staff are all very efficient and hard working. We called in on Christmas Eve whilst visiting Castleton, beautiful clean and spacious café and dog friendly too. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you.
Castleton is our favourite place and Tilly’s Of Castleton Tea rooms certainly didn’t disappoint. If you’re ever in the area definitely take a visit. Great service and lovely food, especially if you’re in the market for a decent full English breakfast. The eggs royale is delicious too. Another perk, dogs are welcome!
Visited here for a full English breakfast ahead of my planned walk. The food and service was exceptional, even managed to get back in time for a piece of Bakewell Tart and custard after the walk, much needed! The smiley face on my coffee …
