Nice stop off place on the way to Seaton. Reasonable choice of food, freshly prepared, with generous sauces and extra gravy. Friendly staff. Dog's allowed in. We will be "popping in" again.
November 2022, we just had a fantastic Sunday Lunch at one of the oldest pubs in England, can Highly Recommend, the food was superb and I couldn’t fault it, congratulations to the kitchen staff, the Bartender was a Gem, on the ball with everything, service and attentive ! Ps I had the Treacle Tart which was very moorish! Thumbs up all round.
Very friendly little pub. The food was plentiful and very tasty. The owners and staff very charming.

Lovely quaint old pub with very low beams and loads of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the home cooked food was superb.
My wife had ham, egg & chips and said it was the best ham she'd ever had.
The chips were awesome too.
Will visit again if we're in the area.
Nice old place with fantastic kitchen... Fish & chips named Catch of the day is the best I've tried.
Really lovely hosts friendly pub called in for a drink didn’t try the food a bit quiet but it was mid afternoon so not a busy time a few locals in the local cider was yummy
Food was very good great atmosphere friendly staff.
Great Christmas Day Dinner. The turkey was succulent, roast potatoes delicious, smooth gravy and a choice of many different vegetables. The parsnips in cream were something I haven't tried before and lovely. My starter was prawns and desert rhubarb crumble. I don't know how I fitted it all in as there were generous portions. Service was great too. All round a great treat for Christmas day.
Lovely, proper old English pub, glad to be alive now I've visited that place
