Nice stop off place on the way to Seaton. Reasonable choice of food, freshly prepared, with generous sauces and extra gravy. Friendly staff. Dog's allowed in. We will be "popping in" again.

November 2022, we just had a fantastic Sunday Lunch at one of the oldest pubs in England, can Highly Recommend, the food was superb and I couldn’t fault it, congratulations to the kitchen staff, the Bartender was a Gem, on the ball with everything, service and attentive ! Ps I had the Treacle Tart which was very moorish! Thumbs up all round.

Lovely quaint old pub with very low beams and loads of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the home cooked food was superb. My wife had ham, egg & chips and said it was the best ham she'd ever had. The chips were awesome too. Will visit again if we're in the area.

Great Christmas Day Dinner. The turkey was succulent, roast potatoes delicious, smooth gravy and a choice of many different vegetables. The parsnips in cream were something I haven't tried before and lovely. My starter was prawns and desert rhubarb crumble. I don't know how I fitted it all in as there were generous portions. Service was great too. All round a great treat for Christmas day.
