Kaani Kaana

A really lovely vibe here and fabulous food. I have to say the biryani portions are enormous and I have some left for lunch tomorrow. I like the mix of home style favourites and classics on the menu. Everything we've had has been delicious and ready really promptly too. I like the eco friendly packaging as well. Keep it up - this is a super addition to Chelmsford

This is our second time getting food here and both times it has been delicious with good variety compared to a typical Indian. Can’t fault the taste, presentation or offering. One comment would be that last time we ordered the lamb biryani the sauce was included, now you have to tick a box for it being an optional (free) extra which we missed so had a rather drier dish than hoped. I’ve put 4 stars because the service really is slipping here. We know it’s become very popular which is great however having booked online for a set slot of 19:45-20:15 our food eventually turned up at approx 20:55 to a very hungry household. We tried calling several times but the line wouldn’t connect and we eventually got through and they said it was en route. Will use again but maybe on quieter days if they cannot handle a weekend crowd.

Poshest takeaway we've ever been to! We were passing and popped in to view the menu. The waiting area is better than some resturants we've been to!! Staff were welcoming and helpful. Not being a fan of fake meat ordered the vegan chorchori curry and some sides. Food presented in neat, quality boxes. Got home and ate one of the best takeaways we've ever had!! Really enjoyed, really tasty and made with quality ingredients. Great value for money. Will be ordering again! Also like the ethos behind Kaani Kaana, and their aspirations, which have just been reading about on their website :-)

Kaani Kaana was recommended to me by my partner’s sister and the very first time I ordered from Kaani Kaana was from their busiest nights ever. But let me tell you, their food was definitely worth the wait! It’s not your typical Indian/Bangladeshi takeaway place where it’s greasy or lack of flavour but they are the exact opposite – bursting with flavour, very hearty and filling. It definitely feels more homemade rather than a takeaway. They put in such care with their food and customer service. They also cater to vegans which is definitely a heaven sent, especially considering it’s hard to find authentic vegan Indian/Bangladeshi cuisines (in Chelmsford and beyond). They’re definitely my favourite takeaway place and I will always, always go back for their vegan lamb bhuna! I hope you continue to thrive and prosper.

We have walked past this place every day for the last while and finally got round to getting a takeaway tonight. So glad we did! Wonderful food, all the dishes were delicious and generous portions too. The service was excellent, and we also really appreciated the recyclable cardboard and paper packaging, which is a rarity for takeaways these days. We will definitely be back! Thanks

Wow, just wow. From the ease of ordering online to the friendly greeting when we picked up our food, not to mention the vegan options, dedication to eco awareness and 5 star quality of our delicious meal - Kaani Kaana surpassed all expectations. As a vegetarian, it’s so refreshing to order with as much choice as my non-veggie family, so this is a must for any similarly plant based peeps. All the packaging was fully recyclable too which I LOVE. The food itself was faultless, not greasy or rich as can be the case with takeaway - just pure perfection. So so glad to have found our new go-to, and a local business I can’t wait to support me. Cannot recommend highly enough - thank you Kaani Kaana!

Honestly the most authentic Indian cuisine I have tasted in Chelmsford. The experience as well was divine. The staff all well dressed - in my favourite shade of green I must add, professional and welcoming. Like talk about great customer service!! Truly a fabulous place down to the decor. Definitely if you’re looking for a good India takeout after long days work they are the place to go and if not no worries because they are definitely mine!

Can't remember the last time I encountered such a good experience whilst ordering food. This establishment has mastered the art of providing a world class service! From the moment you enter, your senses are in for a treat; the decor is amazing... the people who greet you and take your order are amazing... the food is out of this world! Would definately recommend!
