One of the best country pubs I have been in. The menu was limited to about 6 choices, but were very different from the normal pub fare. We were a party of 4 and chose 3 different diners. All were excellent, extremely tasty cooked very skillfully and wonderfully presented. Well recommended.
The outside space looked very nice and exciting too but unfortunately we didn't have time to experience it. We will definitely return, highly recommended.
Took my wife here, as a treat for her birthday. We enjoy eating out alot. This place has got to be, one of the best places I have eaten in a long time. We were given a warm welcome on arrival, shown to our table by a very confident & polite young man. We chose our food from the Al a carte menu. We were not disappointed. The bavette steak with shittarki mushrooms & salt beef pudding, was to die for. Then for pudding my wife had sticky toffee pudding & I had the chocolate pot. Wow, complements to the chef & his staff. Lovely traditional pub. Welcoming, helpful staff. Small, original menu. We were a party of four and all had something different. All agreed food was delicious. Beer was great too. We will definitely return when next in the area. I have never awarded 5 stars before. I couldn't fault it. Very happy diner!
Second time I have been to this pub and I have to say everything has been topnotch. Going out from Exeter and trying new places this is definitely top of the list. The food is exceptional and the service is second to none would highly recommend will definitely be back
Fantastic pub. Great choice of local cider. Plus tap beers and good wine list. Roast dinner highly recommended!

Fantastic food, friendly service and a great atmosphere. We had dinner and were blown away. Food that makes you go wow that's amazing. The chocolate dessert may well be the best thing my wife has ever eaten. We are going back.
Food was unusual and delicious. Been a long time since we have received such polite attentive service.
Lovely atmosphere
Really good food. The oyster mushroom rice was good but the courgette sabzi was genuinely incredible...one of the best curries I've eaten..and I'm Indian!
So happy to have found a place like this nearby. Came today for lunch and all the food was amazing - sharing mezze starter, followed by incredible sea bass main and a sticky toffee pudding. The rest of the menu looked great. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for looking after us. Cosy atmosphere, friendly and relaxed, exciting menu = perfect pub!
