Fabulous meal last night with friends , came recommended by staff at premier inn and we weren't disappointed . I personally recommend the crab tortellini and the chocolate pot with milk ice cream .

What a great place. Food was amazing. Simple,fresh but amazing flavours. Black pudding that had sweet notes at first then spices came in! Pork loin with just enough fat on the edge to enhance the flavour. Apple slices warmed through in the pork juices!! Fantastic!!

We had an amazing meal at this independent restaurant where the food, ambiance, and hospitality were exceptional. From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel extremely welcome by Kingdom, the owner. The food was first class and the pricing reasonable given the quality of the locally sourced ingredients. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience.
We would highly recommend a visit.
Wow wow wow. I went to The Yard this evening for a solo meal. The atmosphere and food were immaculate. Alessandra was the best host and made me feel so welcome. To say it was only her second day working at the restaurant, she really did set the tone for a beautiful evening. The menu changes every two weeks, which is a wonderful touch, meaning all the food is seasonal and fresh. Every bite was stunning. I will definitely be returning!
Visited on a busy Saturday night. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Service was great and contributed to a fantastic atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely return and I highly recommend.

Nice decor, relaxed atmosphere and chilled music. Quite intimate but still open. Waiting staff were very good, left alone for long enough that you were not rushed but available every time we needed them and very attentive. Food was fantastic. Really nice mixes, my pork belly was a brilliant combination of elements, even loved the black pudding I never eat! On the slightly expensive side (£100 for 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine each) but worth every penny.
Plenty decent restaurants in Chester but this was a little bit special and will definitely be back.
Amazing atmosphere and the staff are simply incredible. Could not criticise the food at all and the chocolate pot dessert was the best chocolate dessert I have ever had. Highly recommend this small restaurant! Check them out ASAP
Such a lovely restaurant! Wonderfully friendly and funny staff and fantastic food! We’d actually messed up our booking but they managed to fit us in last minute which was much appreciated! Will definitely be back again :)

Busy Saturday night, Barton Rough closed!! These guys fitted in party of six for us, service great, as busy, fish platter and breads to share ✔️👀👍🏻 followed by sea bass, duck, beef cheek tagliatelle, and yard burgers, then a couple of honeycomb chocolate and ice cream that where sooooo yummy! Great guys keep on it, thanks!
Fantastic food , and I mean fantastic. So tasty , all 4 of us loved it . Great place with a good atmosphere and decor . You definitely need to try it .
