Came in around 2pm yesterday with my two kids after a monster walk around Countess of Chester country park. All starving. Fantastic waitress saw us within 2 mins, drinks within 5 and eating within 15. Lovely pies, demolished by my two, and monster deserts. Quick service, warm friendly staff, reasonably priced food plus 2 for 1 is fab. A great and consistent place to go for an unassuming bite and a pint.
What a lovely place. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food and great price !! Popped in for tea as we arent from the area and wouldnt mind even popping back if we are back in the area :)
Josh was fantastic! I called to book ahead and ask if they catered for Coeliacs. The answer was YES and they were happy to create a child's gluten free meal for me too. On arrival the place was spotless and we were lucky enough to find Josh who took our order.
The food was hot, promptly served and my son and I had little wooden allergy sticks in our food which was really reassuring. My roast chicken dinner was really good.

We took my grandson and my nephew for the Halloween party, they had such a great night, the staff were great with the kids and made it so much fun for them but being busy organising the party didn't affect the running of usual duties! The bar service was quick and friendly and the food was spot on too, the kids didn't eat til really late as they were having too much fun to come and sit down! They both emptied their plates after the party and got straight back to having fun with some friends they'd made, the quiz was a nice touch too, will definitely be back!
Great food. Friendly and helpful service. Nice outdoor seating with a children's play area. Dog friendly and has its own parking.
Thank you very much little owl for looking after us. We hired a semi private area for a small post funeral gathering. The pub was so accommodating opening early for us and creating a tailor made breakfast package for us. Food, tea and coffee was good and ideal for what we wanted.
Visited today for a family funeral. Josh the manager is a real asset to the pub. The buffet was lovely all fresh and hot. Will come again hopefully in different circumstances
Four stars all round because everything Little Owl has to offer is good, but not great. One person behind the bar was a little soured faced, one was smiley and anxious to please but didn't listen as carefully as she should. Our granddaughter had to settle for a desert that wasn't exactly what she ordered. The play equipment outside is of a scale to suit teenagers rather than the younger children who are more drawn to it. The menu is typical pub fare. Middling prices. Reasonable portions. I can recommend the steak and ale pie.

Nice table near windows. Easy and quick to order at bar and wide range of beers.
Prices were reasonable. Cod and chips was fabulous, lovely and crispy and cooked well inside. Chips were great.
Chicken and steak of mixed grill were overcooked, so the chicken was very dry and steak a little chewy. Gammon and egg was perfect. Good range of sauces.
Service was relatively quick and servers polite.
Great food and friendly staff, very reasonable prices too. I would definitely recommend.
My wife had turkey dinner and all was perfect. I ordered beef Sunday roast but not available so I ordered turkey dinner same as wife and told not available. So I settled for sirloin steak and I enjoyed it, so after being disappointed it turned out to be a good evening celebrating our 46 years anniversary.
