Dave and his team are wonderful, we have used them for our work functions and they are truly fantastic. The venue is beautiful and they always go above and beyond for us. The staff on the night are exceptional and food is delicious.

Great for place for me and my best friends to catch up and have lunch. The White Horse can accommodate all 9 of us as as well as babies and pushchairs. The children's playground means that the kids are entertained if the become grouchy at the table. Great customer service, great food, lovely atmosphere, baby friendly and lots of space!

Went last Sunday for the parent folk festival. The location is great, so much outdoor seating so perfect for race day and/or good weather. The play area here was so good, the kids played for ages before and after we ate. Service was a bit unorganised considering it was a big event and they should be used to hosting so many people during the racing festival. This is likely due to poor staffing. Can’t fault the food it was lovely, I had a steak roast which was so good. Lovely carrot and swede mash, the roasties where lovely & the Yorkshire pudding on the top was massive. Kids menu / meals where great options and well priced for the location. Will 100% come back with the kids in the summer for a lovely roast and a few drinks in the beer garden.

Recently held a funeral wake for 40 people here. Excellent communication beforehand regarding choosing a buffet and numbers. The location is stunning with ample parking and disabled facilities plus within close proximity to Chester Crematorium. We were given the conservatory area which offered a perfect private area and plenty of space for everyone. The food was plentiful and excellent quality with unlimited tea and coffee. The staff were very attentive providing table service for drinks whilst also being very polite and friendly. Thank you.

Interesting menu, good food, generous portions. The staff were very pleasant, it's a dog friendly pub and the ones in that day were well behaved. The seating is comfortable and plentiful and the surroundings inside and out are lovely.

We booked a table for 16 people including 5 children for a family anniversary dinner. The food was really good and the play area outside is really good for children of different ages as there are three different pirate ships of varying sizes for them to play in and lots of outdoor seating. My only criticism was the food was quite slow to come out. We booked the table for 4.30pm and we weren't finished with puddings until 7.30pm which was a bit late for the children, although the delay was probably in part due to our faffing. We had a very good waiter who was very attentive and had a very good memory! Portions were generous, including the kids meals and the quality of the food was very good.

First visit today, Sunday 10/10/21. Very nice location and a warm welcome on arrival. I had the nut roast and my husband enjoyed fish and chips. Good portion sizes and the food was piping hot and very tasty. Superb serving staff who couldn't do enough for you despite the fact that they were so busy. Parking is plentiful and right outside the venue which is a bonus for a city location. We will definitely be returning.
