BIG thank you to Siobhan & team. Had Sunday lunch reunion meal this afternoon .....17 of us in all! Most impressed with the exceptional service and ease of booking (no deposits needed). Food was excellent, hot & everyone served together. Guests who hadn't pre ordered desserts were offered dessert menus and hot drinks, extra water for the table.
Siobhan was really attentive checking in with me about serving drinks, when to serve food and even suggested an easy option for payment. As a group we even had a designated area for friends joining us later in the afternoon. The afternoon was very relaxed as there was no pressure for us to vacate our table. I highly recommend the white horse and will definitely be visiting again very soon.
Couldn’t fault the White Horse, Chester. Was there with my fiancé and 2 year old son. Great atmosphere, nothing too much trouble for the friendly approachable staff, amazing food that won’t break the bank (I recommend the burger) and great, safe play area for kids. Oh and free parking! Ralph is a credit to the top notch kitchen team.

Went last Sunday for the parent folk festival.
The location is great, so much outdoor seating so perfect for race day and/or good weather.
The play area here was so good, the kids played for ages before and after we ate.
Service was a bit unorganised considering it was a big event and they should be used to hosting so many people during the racing festival. This is likely due to poor staffing.
Can’t fault the food it was lovely, I had a steak roast which was so good. Lovely carrot and swede mash, the roasties where lovely & the Yorkshire pudding on the top was massive.
Kids menu / meals where great options and well priced for the location.
Will 100% come back with the kids in the summer for a lovely roast and a few drinks in the beer garden.

I’ve just had the best steak ever here followed by the best ever waffle! (The garlic bread wasn’t that garlicky though)
Nice fish and chips, free car park, actually I’ve never been disappointed with food here👌🏻
Very nice meal, staff were ok. We really didn't appreciate sitting looking at the bins or "toilets this way" sign, but my brother hates complaining so we put up with it.
Food and service outstanding, if they were to invest in patio heaters would be better. We were lucky on the day with the weather, but be advised that you may need to wrap up warm or bring your own blanket.

Dave and his team are wonderful, we have used them for our work functions and they are truly fantastic. The venue is beautiful and they always go above and beyond for us.
The staff on the night are exceptional and food is delicious.
