Bless them! The day we called in for lunch, this place was incredibly short staffed, yet the staff were nothing short of polite, professional, unflustered and cheerful and although not everything on the menu was available, our (5) meals were presented promptly and tasted absolutely delicious! The five small sharer plates were amazing and the tikka masala and steak pie main meals went down very nicely Thank you!

Myself and some friends came to off the wall for my 21st and couldn’t of been welcomed more by Jack the manager, We had an absolutely amazing night and can’t thank Jack more for everything he did to look after us and make sure we all had a good night! Thank you! We will definitely be back!

Descent sized room, mainly tap beers on.On ground level, beer was good, staff were friendly. Quite a few TV's around the place with sky sports on. Toilets were upstairs. Pleasant room which was clean. Nice visit. Will definitely pop in again when in the area. Enjoyed.

I stopped in with a few friends as we were walking to our hotel. We were lucky enough to get a big table we could sit round and we were impressed with the choice of beers on tap.
The service was friendly and efficient.
We will definitely return on our next visit to Chester.

My wife and I found this little gem of a pub while staying in Chester for a few days, great range of food and drinks at a very reasonable price, ideally placed for the Roman ruins and river, will definitely be our go to place on future visits to this beautiful old town

The food we ordered came out quickly and was very good. Our only mixup was not realizing we needed to order up at the bar, and we waited far too long for them to come to our table for the order before realizing it. But that was on us!

Had a few drinks here mainly stayed outside as the weather was great. Pool tables need levelling up,but enjoyable 😉

A good city centre pub with good deals. They have a gluten-free menu which is nice. The staff were friendly on a Monday night though it was pretty quiet. 👍🏻

Our first time visiting here for food/drink on Monday 22.08.22 - couldn’t fault it at all the staff were really attentive and friendly. I used the app to order and the service was excellent, drinks arrived within minutes and the food was absolutely gorgeous couldn’t fault it at all.
My Husband had the steak and ale pie I had 3 of the small plates and it was all piping hot and really yummy.
It was so good we actually went in again the following day where we both shared the ‘5 small plates for £12.49’ - absolutely stunning and fantastic value for money.
Music was great, place was really clean, all staff on both days were really lovely and friendly.
Will definitely be visiting here again the next time we visit Chester.
