Stayed last night on the way to Chester, arrived in time for food (the staff even kept a table, nice touch), great homemade food. Nice room overlooking the river, friendly chatty staff and great breakfast too.
If your in Lancaster or looking for a stop near the M6 go there..

Amazing family run Public house in the heart of blacon. Always a great atmosphere prices are cheaper than most pubs in Chester. Family and dog friendly. Staff work their socks off day and night. Nothing is too big or small when it comes to charities or the community. Thank you Jane, Daz and staff for your hard work and commitment for all these years.

Hands down the best family run pub in Chester, they do amazing work to help support the community, and other charities 👌🏻 Also available the function room where I’ve had many off my daughter party’s , there’s an all round great atmosphere , 😄 highly recommended 👌🏻

Great pub run by great people. Always a friendly Atmosphere the owners are always approachable and willing to help. Had some of my best nights out in this pub. Best tasting beer around. Can’t speak highly enough of my experiences in the wagon pub blacon 10/10 x
