Chips crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. My mate that doesn't like chips really enjoyed these. Also we got 6 forks for our group which was very good. Highly rated!

Good quality city centre fish and chips, sit down restaraunt, decent prices. Everything on ground floor including wc (can't remember if it's disabled friendly), little bit cramped if you want to get a wheelchair in bit possible. Service understandably a bit slower during busy times.

Food quality is good; however, you need to wait a bit more than what you expect to have your food. Food is served hot and fresh and I love that. All fish items are absolutely incredible, but I wouldn’t suggest starters.

Nipped in to have some fish and chips and a pot of tea for 2, the cod was beautiful , white with a lovely crispy batter . Chips was very tasty. The pot of tea came with milk and some hot water to top up the pot, I had 3 cups of tea and my wife had 2 cups. Very reasonable price. Staff were very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend going there.

Chester's isn't just a fish and chip shop it has a really beautiful restaurant too. The restaurant is immaculate and beautifully designed with a calm colour scheme and restful wall lights.
The menu is comprehensive. We had fish and chips and our family had a range of burgers which were first class and served with chips and salad on lovely pale aqua plates which complimented the decor throughout the restaurant.
We didn't have a dessert but amongst other choices there was a fantastic range of ice creams.
We will definitely return and recommend it to our friends.

Nice crispy batter on the fish, chips were good with no hard small chips, also there were no black bits that you often find on chips. Ice cream cherry dessert was very good I would certainly go back here.

Very traditional place to enjoy a meal. They have other products beyond the house special of fish and chips. The menu is quite extensive. The prices are ok. Service is quick. The food came in generous portions and it was delicious, comfort food! Really recommend this place!

Had a really nice lunch with my missus n daughter staff are friendly n helpful food was delicious batter was really crispy first time I've ever had plaice my daughter loved the fish n chips almost as much as her icecream 🍦 😉
