This pub serves excellent food, with an interesting range of choices, generous portions, and quick service. We sat outside with our dog in lovely weather. Dogs are allowed in the bar inside. The only downside was the tinny music failing to distract from the road noise from a nearby bypass. Having said that, I'd definitely go again.

We booked a table for 15 people for my daughters birthday. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and showed us to our table.
Throughout the night the staff was very polite and always there when needed.
The food was amazing, and was all 15 dishes were served together.
Cannot recommend this pub enough. They have a great menu at flood prices, cooked to perfection and a really good bunch of staff.

revisited again after 3years. the standard of food and service were good. they are doing specical lunch £7 soup and toasty, £5 omelette and salad. the smoked haddock and slow cooked belly pork were delicious，
We arrived at 1pm on friday, it was already quite busy. my recommendation is to book advance to guarantee seats. sandwiches are in generous portions. steak and potato pies is tasty.
