Achatz Handmade Pie Co.

Best pie ever! Hands down! I accidentally ran into Achatz Handmade Pie Company plant and retail Store in Chesterfield, Michigan. I had never heard the name of Achatz Pie’s. Also an entrepreneur in the food business, I was intrigued to stop by and see what they had to offer. I purchased two chicken pot pies (Large) and a 10 inch Apple Cranberry pie. The apple cranberry was devoured within the first evening, super delicious every one loved it. Today, I had an opportunity to try the chicken pot pie. Absolutely, positively the best comfort food you ever want to try. Simply outstanding! Now that I know they have several locations, as well as available at other retail markets I’m looking forward to enjoying more of Achatz pie products. You should too!

Definitely not what they used to be!! I was looking so forward to having the chocolate silk pie for my birthday instead of my favorite birthday cake from East Detroit Bakery, well I definitely made the wrong choice this year! Picked up my pie on Thursday, chocolate silk,well when I got home to enjoy with family a big hunk of the Crust was missing, that was only the start. The whole crust was over cooked and super thin that was one of the reasons I love this pie so much the crust was awesome, not anymore!! And the worst thing was they change the the whip topping, it literally taste like what they sell at Gordon Foods in the freezer dept. It was some kind of cheap whipped topping not what they used to have. You would think that would be the worst, but when I checked out it even jumped in price( Alot) definitely not happy with what I purchased for $21 I would have had no problem spending $21 if the pie was like it used to be an excellent french silk pie with out of this world crust and a rally good thick real cream topping not cool whip. This time I was not a happy camper. Go back to your original recipe it was to die for you would have got a Five Star Plus, sorry definitely not this time.

Nice people! Lots of stuff to look at besides pie. Lots of pies already made, not everything but you can pre-order online and get anything They fresh made a banana creame pie for me fresh. I left with Meat Pies, jelly and a yogurt smoothie too. I really didn't shop. My wife made me go and I was crabby when I went in but did NOT leave that way.

I would give a no star, but you dont have that. My sister-in-law bought us a Dutch apple pie. So we naturally cut into it and took a bite and it was horrible. It tasted pure salt. Yes SALT!! Instead of sugar somebody put salt on the whole crust. So we called and offered a gift card or to exchange it. So she took them back the next day as soon as they opened and they replaced them with they claim were just baked. Not true the apple pies th hey gave were cold and not fresh. The pie taste terrible and will never turn to there again. What a waste if money as their pies are not cheap and they have totally gone downhill.

The CANNOLI CREAM pie was a BIG HIT on Father's Day! It was the perfect amount of sweet, and that's coming from someone who is not a fan of sweet sugary desserts. I could taste just a hint too much of artificial almond extract in the topping, but I wouldn't knock points off for it. Achatz is a great place, great variety, and very friendly service. I have frequented both the Chesterfield and Shelby locations.

Absolutely terrible. The crusts are the worst. Flavorless and can be used in place of cement. I've tried multiple pies and all the are is overpriced garbage. I'd rather buy a Sandra Lee pie. The worst was when I got what I belive was a French Silk and it had actual chunks of butter. Would NOT recommend!!!! Besides it being in the middle a bunch of factories makes it not very inviting
