The Vestry

Very helpful staff even vacated their car park space to help me out. Some non-resident parked and took my space. Refunded my charge, I had to pay to park in the adjoining public car park for 3 hours, which was and would have been very expensive I.e. £1.50 per hour x 19 hours = £28.50 even during the night. Only one issue which cannot be avoided is the Friday and Saturday night entertainment which takes part in the main area of the hotel and all rooms are above. The disco music ect went on until 3am. Ear plugs are provided in the rooms. Breakfast was fine. Unfortunately their is no lift to the bed room floors. Very steep staircase.

Only paid a brief visit to The Vestry to meet some friends for a couple of drinks before moving on to another bar but my time here was pleasant. The bar has a reasonable selection of beers and spirits and service was very good. The venue itself is spacious but I did not venture beyond the bar as I was drinking outside which is to the front of the venue. The Vestry is a very short walk from the train station and a very short walk from the centre of town.

Situated within a 5 minute walking distance to the train station in one direction and the town centre to the other, great staff with the friendliest service, and spacious, clean, well presented rooms at a price so reasonable it's really one of the better places at an honest price you can find in Chichester. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the Vestry. Did exactly what we’d hoped- central location (5min walk from train station), clean room, powerful shower, great breakfast, fantastic staff. Fair warning that it was noisy on a Thursday night as it is student night in town, but they provided free ear plugs in the room and it really wasn’t bad for a central location. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel, really good location close to the train station and minutes away from the town centre. Great front desk folk who doubles as your bartender! Do note that the pub downstairs converts to a club on Friday and Saturdays - its great if you are planning to party as guests get free entry. Not so great if you are planning to go to bed early - the music will be pumping till 2am! We did enjoy the DJ !

The people and the hotel were lovely. The location was marvellous, with accessible free parking. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. It is important to know it's a music venue and to check when it stops for the night. Some rooms may be further from the performances. The TV is hard to operate properly unless you're a remote control expert. We'll definitely be going there again. 🙂👍

Great place to stay, rooms were lovely, spacious with tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water, even chocolates left on the bed. Room was in a quiet part of the hotel. Only downside is trying to find the parking, which is behind the hotel, however we were given directions by a member of the team who even waited for us to make sure we parked in the correct place.. Had breakfast in the morning, full English with tea, cereals and yoghurt, food plentiful.. Staff very friendly.
