Lovely old pub in one of Kent's quaintest villages. I enjoyed a lovely, tasty steak and ale pie with vegs, my partner a warm and healthy chicken salad. Both enjoyed heartily.

Stopped for food and the atmosphere is really good. The food and service was excellent. It’s a shame we just passing through, but certainly come again when we are in the area

We spent one night here, just before our return to the Netherlands via Dover. What a nice hotel this is! It's authentic, has very nice and helpful personnel, and very good food! We had the family room for 4 persons. What a spacious room. Yes it needs a little maintenance, especially the bathroom, but still very nice for a night!

Had an enjoyable weekend stay in a party of 11.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food was excellent although service was slow Saturday night. Beleave short of a chef. But nonetheless food was of excellent quality.

Called in on spec for lunch, and so glad we did. Superb food well prepared and great service. Enjoyed the beer and all our orders, but the stand out for me was the exceptional scotch egg starter. We loved the food and the setting. Thank you

Had a lovely breakfast on a Saturday morning - wonderful eggs Benedict with home made Hollandaise sauce (I think), massive portion - a bit like an eggs Benedict burger! 🤣 Great value for money too. The lady who served us, called Jacqui, was absolutely lovely, very welcoming and caring.

A wonderful night stay with a lovely evening meal and filling breakfast. Very friendly staff. A well-appointed en suite room with a large shower cubicle and complimentary toiletries. I am very happy to recommend it and would happily stay there again.
