My best place in Chingford to go for fish and chips

I am from Manchester visiting family, I requested Chips and Curry tonight so we visited Wilsons. This has got to be one of the best portions of Chips and Curry I have ever eaten. Great friendly staff and amazing food. I will be definitely be back again.

It's a cute takeaway and safe to say that their chips are the best in England , I wasn't a fan of British foods before but now fish and chips are literally as they say "balance British diet" .even I got to know as they cook everything fresh with best quality potatoes , that's how they maintain the taste .And the home made tartar sauce is like a gift to the cuisine .

gherkin, I did not get...... its clearly on the receipt....... this has happened before when I ordered fish and chips.......to save disappointment again I will check my order before I leave the shop.....did enjoy the food though...... Great fish and chips 👍

Quite simply the best fish and chips takeaway, period. We like fish and chips and eat it a lot but nothing tops Wilson's. We use this as our benchmark. Why? The fish is skinned on both sides, the batter is crispy and not oily, the chips are well cooked and saveloy's are not recooked so the skins are soft as they should be. Their mushy peas are the best we've had. Sounds corny, but we honestly enjoy it that much. We travel 7 miles each way to get a take away. Would highly recommend.

Can not flaw them..they were absolutely busy when I entered but they were fantastic. There was a regular gentleman who was unable to enter the shop, so one of the women went outside to get his order and his money and then came back with his items and change. It's a well oiled machine. Yes it can sometimes feel you're waiting quite a bit for it, but all in all it was worth the wait. Trust me!

I drive from North to East London and must pass 20 fish n chips to come to my favourite. My brother in law and his wife came from
Bournemouth last night so we suggested a takeaway from here. The fish and prawns were fresh, all cooked in a light non oily golden batter 😋. Our guests said it was the best fish n chips they’ve ever eaten. Being part Cypriot and a Wilson I am not biased, but it was truly stunning. Thanks guys, keep up the great standard!
