We came following recommendation of owners of our cottage let. We had our 2 little kids with us and have to say was excellent. Food was delicious, kids portions were excellent value and we're eaten with zero complaints from 2 fussy kids.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub had a great local / village atmosphere. Open fire on a cold night is always a positive.
Would recommend for anyone visiting and wants a really nice meal.
First visit & definitely will be back. Lovely welcome from the gentleman behind the bar who continued to look after us impeccably..warm cosy atmosphere on an autumn day.
Sunday lunch was very tasty only ting gripe it could have been hotter. Apple & celeriac soup was delicious only wish we had of had room for the delicious looking desserts.

We had an extremely warm, friendly and helpful greeting on arrival. Our room was lovely with a great view. It was so comfortable in the room as well as in the bar which had a welcoming roaring fire each day we were there. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival despite the pup being very busy. The dining area was cosy and comfortable and the food, service and expresso martinis were excellent. It was a great experience and we shall certainly come again. Thank you.
Hi, we visited on Sunday dinner, table of five. Roasts were lovely as it would be homemade. Deserts were lovely too. Staff were lovely and very polite. Place could do with a music but would not ruin the evening without. Maybe they should add service charge on the bill as we almost missed it as we are so used to service charge being already on, again not an issues. After all good evening with girls! Thank you
Booked in last minute for dinner as we were camping nearby to celebrate a family birthday. The service was excellent, all staff friendly and made us feel welcome, including our dog. The food was absolutely delicious and all four of us had perfect dinners and deserts. Thanks for making it a memorable experience š
Hadn't been here in many years. Came up from London to meet an old friend and we came for lunch on a lovely sunny day.
They've maintained the interior really well; it's so nice stepping into a pub of this age with the flagstone floor and old furniture.
The meal was very good and the service hospitable and efficient.
Whilst I didn't pay, I know it wasn't overpriced for what we had.
Well worth a visit.
It was a great experience, I was here with my 3 little kids and my wife and it was very child- friendly. The staff was really friendly and very capable of doing their job. The food came fast and was absolutely delicious, it also looked delicious fancy. The location is great, the children could play in the garden, parking was also good and although we didnāt book we got a really beautiful table. The menu was nice with a wide variety of food all over the world. I can especially recommend the Korean BBQ pulled pork bao buns, they were really yummy. We would love to go to the Falkland Arms again, definitely enjoyed it thereš
The team are great, Felicity is always great but when we visited on Thursday 5th, the 2 people who were helping gave really good service too and looked after us very well. Food was up to it's usual high standard and the pub is just a lovely place to be.
