Visited at 7.30pm on a Saturday night, we're bored of takeaways and with it being 2 for 1 the price wouldn't be much different.
Excellent choice on the menu, classic pub meals with some different twists thrown in.
Staff are really helpful and friendly, a nice change compared to some other places with almost mechanical staff.
Food was spot on, I rarely order steak out because I'm usually disappointed but thought I'd take a chance and I was actually amazed by how well cooked it was, and had a lot of flavour for a pub steak.
The 2 mains came to £18 for both, I would've struggled to cook them at home for less, and when we got the bill I was surprised to see it was only £16 for a sauvignon I would expect to pay £23+ for.
After avoiding the place for 5/6 years due to continuous bad experience, I can safely say it's unrecognisable as the same place and we will be returning regularly.
Had the best time celebrating my daughters 18th birthday. Considering there were 7 of us, the bill was really reasonable 😊. One of our party was a vegan and was really pleased to be able to pick from the menu and have more than one option to choose from.
All the staff, Chrissy, Dylan, Harry, Arron and Andrew were amazing and made it a special night for us all. Andrew took advantage of a birthday and having a microphone to encourage the whole pub to sing happy birthday as well 🤣
Bonus of the night, coming second in the quiz so will have to go back to spend the bar tab we won 😊🍻🍷

Popped to Chorley for work trip, popped in for lunch. Welcomed and Served by the lovely Zodie and Cary’s. The bar was very quiet but still felt warm and genuinely friendly. Lovely super quick lunch prepared by the lovely Ryan.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We rode here from coppull a few times and it’s become our favourite place to eat as a family. Food is always to a good standard everything has been cooked with care. Rare to find a place so consistent with quality.
A great level of service from Gerri, Darren and Chrissy. We were celebrating a 95th birthday and they decorated the table and area we were sitting in and were attentive throughout. Great choice of food, which was delivered promptly and was beautiful. Thank you so much for making our celebrations so enjoyable.
Zodie welcomed us as soon as we walked in, she was really pleasant to talk to. The service was great all around, and chef Darren cooked us some really nice food, that was hot and tasty. The chef even started cooking earlier than usual as we arrived before food was serving, which we really appreciated. Thank you Zodie and Darren!
Lovely and quiet place. We came in with our dog and the staff were great to accommodate us and were very polite and pleasant. The food was high quality and worth the price!
Took my son for his 16th birthday we were allowed to take our own balloons and cake when we arrived to drop the balloons off they had put birthday banners up for him out of the kindness of their hearts. We arrived with him and the rest of the family to be greeted with the nicest possible faces the food was great the service was great all in all a really good night thankyou for making his day a little more special chrissy and gem you were amazing
From walking in the staff were very friendly and helpful. This was our first time visiting.
We ordered our food which was delighful.
One of us had surf and turf, another had the burger and another had hunters chicken.
We decided to try the puddings.
Darren recommended sherry trifle cheesecake- the only disappointment was there was’nt enough it was delicious.
Another had sticky toffee pudding and custard, another had apple crumble and custard, they too were delicious.
A big thumbs up to Darren and Gerri who were both professional, helpful but most of all very friendly. Keep up the good work.
We will be back soon to try more of the menu-and puddings.
Spoke to a lovely girl zodie who served me and my partner a celebration drink for his payrise. She even went out her way to give us a glass that had his favourite beer logo on it!
