I would give the team at British Raj six stars if I could on this occasion. They are our go to curry house in Clacton and for good reason. Great food, great service being the primary factors.
On top of that, I made a mistake with my order last night and the team at the Raj went out of their way to rectify what was my mistake anyway. They went further with their already great customer service by making us a much loved naga chilli dish that wasn’t on the menu anymore. I can only speak highly of the team and the effort they put in. Thank you.

Amazing, warm, welcoming place. The staff are so polite & kind, nothing is too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious 😋! 8 of us went & the waiting time was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend The British Raj to eat in or take away.

6 of us Went for a meal last night for my Neices 20th birthday.

Our first time using this establishment. And wow we was amazed how deeelicious this was, portions were unbelievable. I went for the Tandoori mixed grill, the wife went for the chicken tikka starter, chicken tikka masala, and side’s we had onion bhaji, saag aloo, pilau rice, plain naan bread. This didn’t just taste awesome it was how colourful & amazing aroma’s. On the menu it states award winning onion bhaji and yes how right they are. As for the portion size, the wife even had enough for a meal the next day. Outstanding food, outstanding service, cannot rate this restaurant enough, I think we have found our new favourite. Bravo guy’s keep up this awesome standard you provide to the public 10 / 10 from me 🙏🏻

Absolutely lovely bit of food good chef very polite and a nice atmosphere your also aloud to bring your own drink (alcohol) and even aloud to take home what u don't eat great place would highly recommend it to any one

Friendly polite staff and a bright clean environment.
Food was well presented and very tasty. Onion bhajis were crispy and spiced just right.

I ordered from this restaurant last night for delivery, not only did the food come very quickly ( from Uber Eats ), but it was absolutely delicious! The whole family enjoyed it. I will definitely be using them again.

Visited for birthday meal. Excellent service and very tasty food. The meal was quick to arrive, and very hot, even though they were very busy with takeaways. Also a good varied Menu and large servings.
Great company and a great night out, will definitely go again, I may even try takeaway.

Wonderful place to eat. Cozy, warm, staff very polite and friendly and the food was great. Had a murg massala, chicken shashlick lamb chops and mushroom rice, 2 glasses of wine and everything was great. Loads left and even bought some home. Will definitely be returning, hopefully very soon.
