Every now and again you can travel back in time and find a proper pub offering super value food alongside properly kept ales and with a cracking atmosphere. This is one of those times. We got a lovely dog friendly welcome from Ken and Mary and all the staff including Gary who doubles up as the local vicar. Incredible value Sunday lunch, excellent beers, what more could you want?

A very nice traditional village pub with excellent beers and service. Didn't try the food, but the online menu looks comprehensive and very reasonable, so I hope to sample it in the not too distant future.

This is the place u need to go for good food an honest service n happy place to be the greeting n service is great u feel welcome and looked after it is a proper pub n atmosphere nothing fancy but proper care n a great atmosphere nothing too much trouble x

Traditional English pub with good beer and a very friendly atmosphere. Haven't eaten here but never heard a bad word said about the food. Dog friendly throughout in a beautiful village.

The best 'proper' pub we have been to in ages! Got served by the local vicar and found the owner was a black country man! Scary Mary is the most amazing cook! Looking forward to our next visit, thanks for making us so welcome.

Spent a lovely weekend in Claverley and popped into the Crown. Ken and Mary made us so welcome on the Thursday evening and Saturday lunchtime. We can recommend the food which was lovely and the chips were home made. We shall return!

We are new to the area and ventured out for a evening meal here. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was lovely and good value. Good old fashioned traditional country pub, we shall return.
