Only eaten here once, but the fish was great. Freshly cooked with good batter and not at all greasy. The owner used a thermometer to ensure it was cooked correctly. Hygiene very good. If I'm up that way again I will definitely stop off.
Don't be fooled by the lack of glitz and glamour on the outside. This is a traditional English fish and chip shop with a lovely restaurant which is old school inside and should never change what they are doing. The food was 10/10 with …
Good service and good food. We sat in to have our fish n chips. A busy Saturday in Cleethorpes in May and thankfully The Leaking Boot is probably just far enough away from the worst of the crowds that we were able to find seats and a table quite easily here.

Ignore the negative reviews, the food here is delicious and very reasonably priced, too cheap in my opinion. The people kept coming but the ladies were working so hard and everyone was being served very quickly, no complaints.
Had a great experience today, the chips were by far the best I've had in a long time from any chip shop. Curry sauce and fish were decent definitely go back.
