This place is absolutely amazing! From the first communication of booking the table to on the day , they were so responsive. We were there for a meal after my son's civil wedding (14 of us) and they surprised us with complimentary bottles of champagne. Throughout the meal they were so attentive and friendly and the food was so delicious. I really cannot praise them more for such a wonderful experience and will definitely be back for more.

My husband and I got married today and went to this pub for a meal with our family and friends. We were warmly welcomed by Pascal & Barbi and had a brilliant time! The service was great and so was the food. I will definitely be back for their delicious fish stew!

Been here lots of times before, this particular visit was at a very quiet time of day when I imagine most people are at work so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We weren’t starving so had a selection of the starters (scallops with broad beans, pressed lamb belly with broccoli and anchovies, asparagus and greens in balsamic, fat chips and a truffle mac and cheese) they were all delicious. Waiter was a lovely attentive French man and the mains and puddings on the menu looked enticing, if only we’d had bigger bellies! Lots of parking, nice outside tables too, some in the sun and plenty under some shade. If you’re in the area, honestly one of the better pub lunches around. Sunday Roasts are good here too.

I can never fault this place. We were lucky enough to get a table without booking (no mean feat !) But as always we were greeted like an old friend, Barbara is a legend and always makes me and my guests feel like royalty. The food speaks for itself and the rest of the staff are genuinely friendly and very attentive. Sadly we didn’t have appetite for dessert today but trust me they are worth the calories ! Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. Popped in for a meal after collecting family from Gatwick. Ambience and atmosphere - spot on. Lovely little garden terrace and open airy feel inside as well. Sam and Sophie were great with everyone, especially Our allergies and weird requests while taking care of other guests. Not only that, they know their menu and know it well. Went out of their way, and because of that, we’ll go out of ours to return again. Highly recommend. Sorry for the lack of photos, we ate it all. Cheese board is a must have, especially that black truffle honey. The chicken pate is delish too!

It is such a special place to have a meal. They were very accommodating of our allergies and dietary issues. Barbara, the proprietor, came to personally discuss the menu with us and Caitlyn, our waitress was so attentive. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! Extra touches to make it a bit different and the combination of flavours was wonderful. Would definitely recommend, although a bit pricey. We had to pay extra for fries

I’ve been coming to this pub for years. It’s beautifully situated in Surrey country side with plenty of parking. The outdoor space has been well designed, with plenty of seating amongst plant life (some real some fake) when you come into the pub and wait to be seated , bare in mind the ‘nicer’ area is to the left. The right has older tables and is perfect for a pint or two. The team are very polite and helpful, however I did have to ask three separate waitresses for the bill.. got there in the end. My only complaint really would be that the food just isn’t that good. Granted, on a Sunday you will be served a decent roast, however, the rest of the food in the standard menu is pretty damn average. Our next visit will be for drinks only, however will continue to come back as it is a beautiful pub.

We held a work summer party at The Black Swan. We received excellent service, food and drink. The staff were polite and very helpful and all dietary requirements were provided for. The care and attention given to detail was superb. Food presentation was excellent, The staff ensured nothing was omitted and were a pleasure to work with in advance of the event and on the day. Everyone enjoyed the ambiance and food. The venue is beautiful. We were fortunate to be able to dine outside all afternoon which added to the great atmosphere. We would highly recommend The Black Swan to everyone.

Really lovely country pub. The food was delicious and the presentation was top notch. The chef clearly has a passion for food and has put a lot of thought and care into every dish. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, attentive and happy to help with any requests, especially Diana (our waitress). We cannot recommend this pub enough, an absolute gem!
