Thank you to Maureen and Sharon…. Sharon after seeing master chef made popcorn cockles…. Wow wow…. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And the garlic prawns ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ then there are not enough stars when you mix the sauce with the popcorn cockles!!!! Amazeballs, mix all that cooking with Maureen’s Tea….. And you are in for a huge treat!! I sincerely hope you are here for many years to come xxx

Food was ok, the mussels were better than the rest we have ordered. We would have liked it more if the sardines would have been cleaned and gutted. The hot chocolate was cocoa without sugar ( we got sugar separately)

Been a customer since way before Lockdown’s 1,2 & 3 then sat in (out) for their Seafood Nachos (enough for two) , crab, prawns,crayfish, Mayo, guacamole, salsa, warm cheese sauce, peppers(sweet and hot) chilli’s, the list goes on... all I can say as an infrequent visitor to Mersea, this is my ‘must do’ each visit...
Then I saw their 3 Tier Seafood platter pass by en route to another fish fan... decisions, decisions...!!!

Second time visiting in as many weeks, and just as impressed as we were the first time. Food is simply fantastic (we had the Seafood nachos) the staff are very efficient and super friendly, even looked after my pooch by offering fresh water and a few treats. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon.
