I have been here on 4th and 5th of January to get fish and chips and still saying it is open when actually closed. What a waste of petrol

Consistently good. Some places are very hit & miss, but I’ve now been to this fish & chip shop about 5 times now and the food is always fresh. Fish crispy and not greasy and delicious chips. Never tried the other items - so cannot rate those.
My only negative point is the fact that they only accept cash, so I always have to pop to the cash point before visiting which can often be a bother. Nether the less - it’s the best fish and chips shop I’ve come across in Colchester!
