The sushi is so carefully made, and each made with love! Me and my sister melted whilst eating their California Crunch Sushi roll and their strawberry cake, all so cheap too! My sister took two more cakes to go home! 5⭐️

Lovely fresh sushi. Always wonderful service. My favourite is the Salmon cheese roll on their specials menu - the flavour combo, texture and sauce are fantastic! Always recommend Matane to my friends if they are craving sushi. I tend to buy dinner here to take away after a long day at work.

I have ordered for Matane Sushi via UberEats on a few occasions for a fairly light treat on a cheat day. So far, all my orders have come on time, the food was always nicely presented, and tasted great! (on the exception of the dynamite rolls, but that may be personal taste). If you haven't already, I would strongly recommend either eating in store, or having a cheeky takeout whenever you fancy a bit of sushi. I also enjoy the custard pancakes; they may not be fresh, but they are a nice light treat to finish off your meal.

I’ve ordered at this place over 15 times and every single time it’s 10/10. The workers are polite and kind and it’s worth every penny - even though it can work out quite expensive when you buy a lot. Brilliant place.

Incredibly great sushi. Rice perfect quality with very fresh salmon. The Spicy Tuna and Special Seaweed hand roll Look and taste gorgeous. Well worth a second, third, and definetly a fourth visit. As good the branch in Norwich.

Spotted the best sushi shop by just passing by, the store is well decorated and high level of brightness and hygiene. Was going to buy some sushi for a quick meal for the train, but finally bought a few boxes. The chef Henry is super efficient and friendly and proudly introduced their raw materials, I can also see the clean worktop with gloves, masks and their cooking procedure.
Their salmon sashimi is already looks decent and good size of portion, the style of other rolls are stylish and modern, also a small section of chinese snacks.
The price is similar to Itsu and Wasabi, but the quality is really good, tastes fresh and nice without dipping the soy sauce and wasabi. Very well presented! 👌👌👌

Best value for money sushi in Colchester if you collect it to go yourself. Nice range and friendly staff too. I imagine it would be nice to eat it in the park.

Cute little gem of a sushi shop. Everything about it was 5* - the quality, the freshness, the customer service. Ordered a platter and it was definitely worth it. Will be coming back soon !

This has only been open for three weeks and what a gem it is!! The staff are so friendly, polite and couldn’t be more helpful. Customer service 5*. The food and sushi is amazing ❤️ so tasty, and fresh. Made to order, doesn’t take long. Gorgeous menu with loads of options (see pictures for the menu). I had a tofu one and salmon verde - yummy!!! Not overpriced either, competitive rates. Lovely and clean inside, nice seating areas to watch the world go by. I will definitely be returning here. If your walking past and love sushi - go in! 🤩👍
